This upscale 60's style diner offers great food and drinks in the heart of Buckhead. Must try the Peach Bread Pudding

The Buckhead Diner is my favorite Buckhead restaurant. It's better than a diner but not too fancy. Gotta try the cornbread muffins.

Upscale diner with above average diner fare...including the prices, so don't expect a greasy spoon here. They do a pretty solid brunch and a great veal meatloaf! Lots of local celebs and out of towners can also be seen here.

So-So Buckhead Glam Diner, Past It's Prime! Average Food and Service!. A few years back, Buckhead Diner, was the place in trendy Buckhead. We still love the building, but the concept is now old hat, and is still enjoyed by small town tourists. Best app. is still the homemade chips w/Maytag Dressing. Burger's are no better than a Houston's. Service is fine, but they just go through the motions. If you have visitor's from out of town, or teenagers, they will probably like it. Not bad, just average.

Very cute--GREAT food. The service was not as good as the service at some of the other Buckhead Life restaurants, but I'm not complaining, either. There is a valet right out front. The interior is covered in restaurant memorabilia and the main dining room is very retro chic--It reminded me of a cruise ship with all of the neon coupled with dark woods--very elegant. Try the calamari! It was the best I've ever had--absolutely succulent.

too upity and too overpriced. I can?t understand the positive reviews this place got. My husband and I ate at Buckhead Diner on a Sunday afternoon a little over a week ago, and we were highly disappointed. We will not be back. Our waiter did an adequate job of waiting on us, but he was so unfriendly. He never smiled once. The only friendly person was one of the hostesses who sat us. Most of the other servers seemed to have the same uppity attitude as ours. The food was MEDIOCRE at best. The portions were on the small side. It was WAY overpriced for what it was. I thought it would be a good place judging by the location, and I don?t mind paying extra IF it is worth it. It wasn?t. Why do people insist on going into such places and spending their money just because of the location?

Dressed-up diner food still draws a crowd at Buckhead's original power restaurant.. In Short
Modeled after the famed Fog City Diner in San Francisco, this landmark still elicits gasps with an exterior covered in stainless steel and neon, an interior in mahogany and marble, and yacht-like lighting fixtures. The bar or seats opposite the exhibition kitchen are perfect for solo diners; roomy booths are comfy for groups. Pacing can be off, and the intercom announcing tables is annoying, but service is attentive. Comfort-food favorites like homemade potato chips with warm Maytag blue cheese are a tangy, addictive pleasure; veal meat loaf with wild mushroom gravy is a great take on Mom's version. The berry scented pan fried chicken is a southern classic, while sea bass gets an Asian twist with sherry soy sauce and sticky rice. White chocolate-banana cream pie is curiously under-sweetened. Better is the Granny Smith apple pie with cinnamon ice cream.

attention to personalized service as would be expected in five star restaurants found here by friendly, exceptionally trained staff who actually address the customer by mr. or mrs. smith.. this is my second visit to this eating establishment in as many visits to atlanta. i first saw this restaurant highlighted on several food shows making me want to eat there if i ever had the chance to visit atlanta. on the first visit i had the meatloaf and homemade potato chips with the maytag blue cheese melted on them. while there i noticed that they offered fried chicken on wednesday's and sunday's. i returned this past sunday at around 4 pm only to be told i would need to return after 5pm as that is when it is offered on the dinner menu. it was some of the best chicken i've ever had.( i took a ride to see the local mansions.) i also had a return dish of the potato's with the warmed blue cheese. but the out of site best new thing i have eaten in a very long time was the James Beard version of the white chocolate banana cream pie. i know what i'll have for dessert on my next visit to the buckhead, which i hope will be very soon. i'm searching for the recipie in an attempt to duplicate.

No mistakes. I've lived in the Atlanta area for just under a year and had heard that the Buckhead Diner was a great spot from a few people. Saturday we had a babysitter and no reservations anywhere. After calling around to a few places I decided our best bet was someplace that didn't take reservations. We showed up early (6:30) and waited a half hour for a table, which I thought was perfectly acceptable for a Saturday.

The food was outstanding. Literally, the best crab cakes we've had, and the veal meatloaf is unbelievable. Service was attentive and helpful.

Read the other reviews. There's nothing bad to say except that it's a little loud and busy.

Can't go wrong here. Good service...good food...just that simple. Bread was a little stale....but dessert and the main course were good.

Worth the Wait. Every time I have come here, there has been a wait - which is understandable, once you taste the food. This place has an interesting menu, containing new variations on old favorites. The desserts are delicious as well.
