Editorial Review for Sambuca – by Mara Maddox
The Scene
Sambuca is a throwback to a time when elegance was an everyday event. The cafe creates a luxurious atmosphere with plush seating and swinging music: jazz, blues, modern, world, straight ahead and vocals. The high, rounded ceiling in the dining room tops a chic interior, complete with luxurious banquettes and dim lighting. Tables on the main floor and banquettes along the back wall provide a good view of the featured musicians. A dramatic window provides the backdrop for the band playing sexy tunes from 7:30pm on.
The Draw
The impressive surroundings lend an air of class to a night of dining and drinking. After work, this is a prime people-watching spot for the Buckhead business crowd. For starters, try the stuffed beef tenderloin, a real crowd pleaser. The eclectic cuisine features everything from inventively seasoned seafood to Middle Eastern appetizers and thick cuts of red meat.

I went to Sambuca yesterday and the food and the entertainment were great but I expected that. I hadnt been there in a while but I knew it would be good. The extra bonus was the smokin' hot managers!!!! One in each flavor!!!!!!! Go for the food and the live music stay for the eye candy with the keys!
Pros: TRIPLE THREAT..FOOD, ENTERTAINMENT AND FEAST FOR THE EYES!
Cons: LEFT WITH NO PHONE NUMBERS....NEXT TIME!!!!!

While the place seemed impressive at first, but we were soon disappointed. We went in for an after-dinner drink and to listen to some live music. We sat at a table in the bar area. The bartender who was also the only server in the only area took about 10 minutes to come take our order, but not before stopping at another table to socialize. Our table was dirty. The restaurant was big but the ventilation was horrible. The whole place smelled like fish. The music was great, but I doubt I'd go back to this place again.
Pros: Good music, nice restaurant, valet parking
Cons: poor service, bad ventilation in the restaurant
