The quintessential old school Atlanta steakhouse that serves all the traditional sides like creamed spinach and baked potatoes; this is a must visit for anyone who loves steak.
2. This is easily the most overrated restaurant in Atlanta. The people that still like Bones should get with it--it is not the early 90's anymore and you can have a great steakhouse experience in a half a dozen superb places in this town. I have been to Bones 6 times and they have never cooked my steak the correct way no matter how I try. The waiters are arrogant. The bread is a textureless mass that is surrounded by crust that breaks into a pile of crumbs. The onion rings are from the same school--the batters falls off leaving a pile of fried coating and a pile of greasy onions. The parking situation is a joke. Chops or Hal's for me.
What is all of the fuss?. Listen...I guess in this town you are a bones guy or a chops guy. Bentwood chairs in a restaurant that is supposed to be one of the best in the city! Please...for this money how about some creature comforts! Nice wine list...but why dont's they store their investment with temp. and humidity control too. Steaks are good but I can get better at many other less $$$ restaurants.
what a steakhouse should be. Great steaks, great service, big drinks. What else do you want?
over-rated, inattentive. Compared to other Zagat-rated places, service was so slow, we thought we were forgotten. For $238 for 4,+ a over-generous 20% tip, I can get good food in many other places around town. For 4 well-travelled adults, the unanimous vote on the food was "good" not great. Take Bone's down a couple notches. Even if our experience was unusual, I won't go back.
A Dining Experience. My Bones Dining Experiences are the reason that I continue to return. The wait staff is made up of some of the most refined, clean-cut men in Atlanta. My food has always been perfectly cooked, beautifully served - and always done so in the appropriate timing. Bones in a very unique restaurant in that there are four rather large and elaborate section of the restaurant: the bar, family & business dining, romantic dining and group dining. The group dining is on a seperate floor which provides a sense of exclusivity. The romantic dining is in a seperate section of the restaurant with romatic lighting, and a cozy view of the winery. I could go on, but the best way to appreciate Bones is to go visit - and go hungry!
Still The Best!!!. I do not know what these other reviewers are writing about!!! Food and Service are excellent. What a pleasure to be served by true pros!!! Still the best steak I've ever tasted. The best baked potato and wonderful desserts. The entire staff makes you feel welcome and like a king. Thank goodness Bone's is in Atlanta!!!!
Excellent!!!!!. I have been to all of the major steakhouses in the Atlanta area and Bone's by far was my best experience. The personalized service that they offer is matched only by what you would expect from a private club. The food was outstanding and the portions were very generous by anyone's standard. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for the best service and food this city has to offer.
Expense account heaven.
The steak is good, the lobster great. If you enjoy the high testosterone environment of power hungry meat eaters smoking cigars and closing deals on the company's dime, this is the place to be.
My New York steak was cooked to perfection and way too large to consume in one sitting. The accompanying veggies were fresh and delicious. Lobster was outstanding, fresh and huge.
Is it expensive...absolutely. But Bone's about "Big". Big steaks, Corporate Bigwigs and yes, big checks. An enjoyable experience all around.
There's No Place Like Bone's. Bone's is the number one steakhouse on my list! I've dined at Bone's a handful of times, and it's no wonder why I keep going back. This is where all of the service has gone - it's at Bone's! From the moment I made my reservation (they were so friendly) to the moment I walked in the door and they knew my name... have I mentioned the food? It's as excellent as the service.
Best Meal Ever!!!!!!!. Was at Bones the other night and once again they showed why they are the best..The food was perfect, the service was perfect, and the surroundings were most comfortable. When you want to impress your business friendsBone's is the sure bet..
