“Visiting Atlanta on business quite often, I have seen myself going back to Anis several times - Great staff, good wine list, casual atmosphere, good food.”
“The wine selection was obviously picked by someone who loves wine.”
“It's tasty, it's realatively cheap, and the waitstaff is quite nice so long as you are.”

“If you want a great place to take a first date or a business contact I recommend Anis!”
“it was one good night at anis has been a long time i did had that much fun and good food everything was great thank you everybody from anis keep up the good work we will be back”
“We will be sure to pass on to as many people as possible how deplorably horrible our experience,”
“We've dined at many very nice restaurants in town and certainly expect certain price points for certain establishments but it seems Anis is charging their prices for the sake of charging them; not because of a higher quality in their actual product.”
“The food is excellent, but the timing was off - we didn't get the silverware we needed when we got our food and they were slow to fill water glasses.”
My boyfriend and I wanted to spend Valentines there, but as students a full menu is out of our price range. We booked our reservations 5 weeks in advance, with the note on our reservation that we would just get dessert and drinks. February 12, we were called. Unless we would spend $60 per person, our reservations would be canceled. We couldn't, reservations canceled. Try finding Valentine reservations 2 days before. Disappointed and ruined plans.
The dinner was very good. The waiter was also excellent. We would love to purchase a quart of the sorbet (strawberry).
Tonight we wanted a place like Anis to go to. So we came here because there is no other place like Anis here. So thanks for being here!
perfect atmosphere, service, and presentation.. Jonothan was a great server, he was attentive and explained the dishes perfectly in a friendly way. Amazing bread and mussel appetizer was delicious. The two dishes we had were lightly seasoned, perfect to get the flavor out of the fish and portion size was not too big and not too small. All in all it was a great experience. Pricey but if you have the money to spend this is a great date spot or family gathering.
Great French Food, Great French Staff. My husband and I visited hear last night to celebrate Valentines Day. The ambience was great. Quaint & cozy. Great selection of wines and a wide variety of meal choices for every palette. While we were there, we spotted atleast 5 French customers. That?s when you know the food is good. We recommend this place to everyone.
Best: great food. I had lunch outside on the patio and the atmosphere is wonderful. Unfortunately it took about 15 minutes to be greeted by a waitress. Once I was noticed, she was friendly and attentative. I had the Croque-Monsieur (a favorite of mine) and theirs was wonderful! I had creme brulee for dessert - yummy! I will be back for the steak-frites.
As French as it gets in this city. Here's the deal. This restaurant is as French as it gets in the city. The staff, owners, managers and even cooks parle vous Francais (albeit some with a Dude-Bro accent). Like any good bistro on the Champs Elysee in Paris or on the small back streets of Amien a true French meal takes time. The place will seem cramped and loud but the food an wine will be exceptional! I admit its not for most in this "I want it yesterday society" but I know most can grow to appreciate it, especially if you partake in the wine list as soon as you sit down. Granted my party and I went through two bottles of phenomenal Bordeaux before ingesting an ounce of Gazpacho or Escargot but we truly enjoyed the time we spent together. We got especially loud thanks to the good friends and good wine but no one seemed to care in the slightest (other than my girlfriend who kept telling me to quiet down). Anis is a place you go with people you don't just put up with for a few hours but people you truly enjoy spending time with and conversing. The menu is truly for the French at heart filled with cheese covered, cream-filled goodness (and of course calories). If you dare as I did be sure to hide everything, Parking is difficult on the weekends, they dont have many parking spots behind the restaurant and you have to be lucky to get a spot close by on the street. On a side note service is friendly and the food and wine are very reasonably priced.
Great Atmosphere; Forgettable Food.
I give Anis 5 stars for atmosphere. It's very charming and quaint...almost as if you are dining in a friend's garden. Even the food presentation was impressive. All of the workers were also very nice and pleasant.
The food, however, was pricey for the quality. My husband got the $30 filet...and sadly enough, Outback Steakhouse's is better. The house merlot was $7...
We've dined at many very nice restaurants in town and certainly expect certain price points for certain establishments but it seems Anis is charging their prices for the sake of charging them; not because of a higher quality in their actual product.
