GREAT WINGS, SANDWICHES, ATMOSPHERE and Beer..

The wings might be the best anywhere. The crowds ar a lot of fun and the specials are top notch. Patrons seem drawn here for the kitsch, such as wacky deli-style sandwiches named the Looney Bird and the Damage. Burgers are especially tasty, and brews include Sweetwater Ale, a local favorite. Keep a careful eye on Loco's patron saint, the moose head--his inner Web cam is watching you. LOTS OF FUN and FOOD.

What a Neighborhood Pub Should Be!

I just moved here from Boston, and this is the type of neighborhood joint we had back home. It's not at all pretentious. It's very casual. The staff is nothing but friendly, and if you sit at the bar, you are sure to meet some interesting people from all walks of life.
The sandwiches are good, but I usually order the burgers, which are fabulous! My favorite thing about Locos is the great beer selection. They have all of the usual suspects, but have a great selection of local micros that are always cold and fresh. Also try the wings.
My only recommendation if you go for the first time is to not go on a college football game day. They get extremely crowded, and if you are not into SEC/ACC football, you may find it a bit noisy.
- Pros: Plasma and giant projection TV's, huge beer selection, wine specials on Thursdays.

A return customer, but only for drinks

First the good...there is always a good crowd here and the service is always good. Now the bad...the food is below average. I had salsa and chips and the salsa tasted EXACTLY like Kroger brand salsa. They got rid of the free wings w/a pitcher of beer during happy hour. Sometimes they even managed to screw up the wings by overcooking them (or were they the previous nights wings?). The sandwiches are below average, really nothing to write home about.Something to fill your stomach with...a step up from a sandwich vending machine at the airport. So bottom line if you want a fun place to hang out for drinks this is a good place. If you want some bar food with your drinks, there are a lot of other places to go in buckhead for that.
