Not sure if it was just me (or my "type") they didn't want to help, or they just don't practice customer service...the owner seemed to go out of her way to ignore me. I really wanted the China in the window, and dragged my husband in only to be ignored. Working I'm the bridal/China industry and will NEVER recommend this place. This was the one in Va. Highlands.
Not cookie cutter style. Perfect place to browse for home accents, never know what I'm going to find. Bought two French-looking dressers with a dark wood finish. Not like the modern, sleek stuff you see everywhere else. Also good for gifts.
Eclectic, provincial home furnishings give urban dwellings a countrified Queen Anne look..
Whimsical, yet sophisticated: distressed and whitewashed antiques are the backdrop to shabby chic decor. Considering the furniture's authenticity, durability and style, some of the best home decorating deals can be found in this little Buckhead bungalow.
An antique oak kitchen hutch. A lingerie chest with glass casing above seven generous drawers. A pair of footstools with kilim seatcovers. A small writing desk packed with solid character. You never know what you'll find at Urban Cottage, where the inventory changes weekly. What you can expect to see are pieces of varying sizes, from armoires to nesting round-top trunks. Unusual fixtures and accents adorn both casual and formal living spaces: glass doorknobs, French handpainted pottery, baskets, pots, jugs, rugs, candleholders, framed watercolors and sketches.
