Incredible lunch spot!. If you like chicken salad, get yourself to the Cafe at Pharr. This place makes the most phenomenal chicken salad on earth and they have freshly baked bread daily. I think the key to this fabulous chicken salad is that they don't add too much mayo, which will ruin a great chicken salad.

The curry chicken salad is not too heavy, but adds a slight kick, while the celery is just plain & simple, but perfect. The walnut (my favorite) adds a slight hint of sweetness to the salad. I suggest ordering the salad plate & mixing the chicken salad, the green salad and dressing up all up into one delicious plate. Ask for extra bread and enjoy! Once you go, you'll never look back at another lunch spot!

Horrible, dry, ground up chicken salad. Maybe years ago this place was good, but I swear you can get better chicken salad at Kroger. The chicken was dry and ground up. I had the famous walnut chicken salad and it was awful for nine dollars. The bread was fine, but not award winning. It's just a place to be seen, which doesn't make any sense because it is a hole in the wall. I am being forced to give it one star.

AMAZING Chicken Salad. Went with co-workers and it was amazing! I had the curry chicken salad sandwich (with garlic dressing). The dressing was like cherry on top. It was DELICIOUS!! Also, the yogurt roll was amazing. I might go back to ONLY get the yogurt rolls. I'd recommend it to EVERYONE!

Love it!. I have known Jon for four years now~ This place does it right: simple, fast, healthy, and with a smile. I go about once a week and get the salad with tuna. It can get super busy but for the most part you can get a table. And the meal cost less than 9 bucks.... this place is truly a hidden gem! Great job Jon! And congrats on the new baby!!!!!

Amazing Amazing Amazing. The chicken salad sandwich is to DIE for. The curry chicken is absolutely amazing and there is nothing like it anywhere else (a personal favourite of mine) ALWAYS get extra rice so none of the beautiful sauce goes to waste. The bread served with the curry is a treat and another thing to ask for extra of. The yoghurt rolls are also amazing....you can not go wrong with this place!

Awesome food!!. Cafe at Pharr has been a favorite of mine for a long time! I just can't believe the bad review they got. That person must not like the owner on a personal level or something because what they said about the food is very untrue. When it is nearly impossible to find a parking spot during peak lunch hour, how can their food be bad? Just want to say they have the BEST salad dressing I've ever had, it's probably the biggest reason I eat there. And the walnut chicken salad is awesome, as is the egg/potato salad. Eat there and you'll see how good it is!

Best Chix Sandwich Anywhere. Talk about fantastic. Though parking can be tough, the immediate service makes up for any lost time. My favorite, the Chix Salad Sandwich, is always exactly as i remember it. The bread is soft, the salad is not too creamy or too dry, and the side dessert is always a perfect closing to a great lunch. My colleagues and I affectionately call the cafe "the Chicken Salad place" and I would recommend it to anyone.

RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, BAD FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT go to Cafe at Pharr. The owner and the servers are unbelieveably rude, obnoxious, unfriendly, and make you feel as if you do not deserve to be there. The food is, at best, mediocre. The veggies are pale and tasteless, the salads are bland, the chicken salad was tough, chewy and full of dark meat, and it was completely overpriced and overhyped for what you get. When I raised my concerns to the wait staff adn eventually the owner, who was there at the time, they kind of smiled and shrugged and really did not care. Terrible - don't bother going there.

Favorite spot for fast, fresh lunch!. This place is the best - the service is fast and friendly - I usually pop in to pick up lunch to go and am out in less than 5 minutes, even with a line. The curry chicken salad is so good - not too intense with the spices & just flavorful enough! The salad dressing is amazing - some kind of light ginger with carraway seeds, I think they are called? It's my all-time favorite. Plus all the salad plates come with fresh grapes and YOGURT ROLLS. I had never had a yogurt roll until I came to Cafe at Pharr and now I am addicted! Perfect lunch spot!

This cheery spot serves up a fresh take on Southern-style lunch.. The Scene
Buckhead desk denizens and neighborhood locals take a time-out lunch to soak up this cafe's cheerful atmosphere. Bright yellow walls and floral prints give the tiny space a summery feel, even on the cloudiest of days. Behind the counter service is chipper and has a knack for making regulars out of customers.

The Food
Soups, sandwiches and salads are all given minor face lifts. Egg salad is blended with potato salad for a creamier, heartier appeal. Walnut chicken salad, served on a bed of simple greens with carrots and tomatoes, is dry on its own but gets a boost from the flavorful vinaigrette. Shrimp salad is dressed lightly with mayo, but the best bet is to stick with the more creative concoctions. See a cookie at the counter? Grab it--they're usually gone by 1pm.
