Customers BEWARE!! WALTER PICKENS JR IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED!. Had a broken gold bracelet that needed repair. Received a quote of $40 from Walter when I dropped off the bracelet. A week later when I went to pick it up, Walter claimed that the cost was now $60!!! He refused to honor the initial quote, which in hindsight I should have got in writing when I dropped off my jewelry. Little did I know that Walter Pickens would try the old "bait and switch" trick on a customer. If I didn't pay up the $60, I wouldn't get my bracelet back. So I was stuck. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! You will get better service (and prices!) elsewhere. Pickens Inc. is not a trustworthy or honest place of business.

5 weeks until the wedding & no dress!!. My sister is getting married in October. We went to CCW first on our dress search and were pleasantly surprised to find a dress. The initial service was great, and after spending considerable money we expected decent service. The dress was promised by a certain time. When that did not happen, calls were made and either not returned or our questions were not answered. My sister has made all the effort to call to get info. on when to expect the dress. As I write this today 9/11/03, she still does not have the dress. The store owner blatantly lied to us about when she shipped the dress and blatantly overcharged to ship it. She had the nerve to say that my sister was "in a rush" to get the dress - is 5 weeks before the wedding a rush?! Please be wary of this bridal store. Thanks.
