Editorial Review for Pricci – by Elisabeth Bergman
The Scene
Pricci impresses diners with its flashy, whimsical atmosphere and out-to-please service. Designed by the famed Pat Kuleto, the restaurant blends '80s glamour with a love for all things lunar--moon sconces playfully wink at diners, while light fixtures resemble the satellite's pockmarked surface. Add the excitement of an open kitchen and you've got a restaurant perfect for light-hearted gatherings and jovial birthday dinners.
The Food
The kitchen, which showcases roasted meats and lighter seafood dishes, competently merges modern Italian tastes with regional classics. Translucent sheets of tuna carpaccio and luscious lobster crepes served in a rich saffron-colored cream sauce are satisfying openers. Osso buco, complete with marrow bone, is a pleasing comfort-food favorite, while fragrant Mediterranean sea bass with tomatoes and fennel should appeal to smaller appetites. Desserts are worth the splurge, especially the unique torta formaggio, a decadent apple creation topped with creme brulee.

Pricci's kept us waiting for 45 minutes with a reservation for a special occassion and then tried to seat us in the bar. I asked to speak with the manager who was indifferent. While the food was good, it hardly qualified as a fine dining experience as the price would indicate.

Just had one of the best meals of my life - Kobi Beef ravioli, started with simple, yet tasty caesar salad - just happened to luck out by staying at the hotel across the street - and all the other meals in our foursome were outstanding (wild mushroom pizza, with fontina cheese and carmelized onions (fantastic), artichoke and spinach tortellini, and a mushroom risotto). Each of the meals had simple, yet unique tastes and textures (tried them all). Service was delightful. Wait staff could not have been more accommodating. Very reasonably priced. Makes me wish I lived in Atlanta. I have never written a review of a restaurant before.
