“jam-band-heavy jukebox bogs things down a bit (unless your favorite ice cream is Phish Food or Cherry Garcia), but don't let it detract from the lively yet laid-back vibe here.”
“But aside from the salivary gland-activating, artery-clogging pies, there are also decent sandwiches and bar food, perfect for the homey hangout-bar environment inside and along the bar.”
“The pizza is great, and the rest of the menu that I have tried has never been a notch below delectable.”

The seasoned sibling in the Mellow Mushroom family..
The Scene
Plastic red and white tablecloths, neon beer signs, dim lighting--McTighe's doesn't try to be anything other than what it is: a casual, relaxed neighborhood bar. Trophies from sponsored club teams line the walls, while the crews that brought them home fill chairs on the big wooden deck.
The Draw
Read the sign on the front door: "You are now leaving Buckhead." It's not strictly pizza like the rest of the Mellow Mushroom franchise; you'll find a lot of pub fare and hoagies. Don't miss the homemade soft pretzels (available with cinnamon coating). You'll find the old-school Buckhead crowd hanging out here most nights.
Micro-Pittsburgh. Absolutely phenomenal is all I can say. I frequent McTighe's to watch Steelers games with some friends, some of which are not from the Burgh. Nonetheless, we all have a fantastic time. For me, it feels like home, and, for my not so lucky friends, it gives them a taste of what football and fanfare is all about! The pizza is great, and the rest of the menu that I have tried has never been a notch below delectable. Wish I could say something negative, but; you gotta love a place dawned divinely in Black and Gold.
A Mellow Mixed Bag. The real draw, of course, is the famously tasty pizza, dripping with greasy cholesterol and sporting the crunchiest (and best) crust in Atlanta. But aside from the salivary gland-activating, artery-clogging pies, there are also decent sandwiches and bar food, perfect for the homey hangout-bar environment inside and along the bar. McTighe's is way too polished to qualify as a dive bar, as one poster claims, but it fills a Buckhead need for conversation and comfort. A jam-band-heavy jukebox bogs things down a bit (unless your favorite ice cream is Phish Food or Cherry Garcia), but don't let it detract from the lively yet laid-back vibe here. The enclosed patio is good for business lunchers and meat-market scavengers --you may be leaving Buckhead, as the sign says, but you're not THAT far away.
