Georgia's downtown University picks up ground on in-state rivals Tech and Georgia.. In Short
Largely overlooked in the state's lexicon of higher education, GSU would have you know that anything Georgia Tech and the Univesity of Georgia can do, it can too. Be it with academics (52 degree programs), activities (from activists to Zetas) or esteemed alumni (Bank of America CEO Ken Lewis), this metropolitan institution of about 27,000 students has quietly held its own for years. Even in athletics, the Colonial Athletics Association member is stepping up its game. Famed coach Bill Curry will lead the Panthers' first football charge in the fall of 2010.

One Of The Best Business Schools In U.S.!. I'm a proud graduate of The Georgia State University, School of Business, Class of 1974. Under the direction of the late, Dr. Noah Langdale, this urban university has grown to become one of the outstanding schools in the country. My degree in Business Management, from GSU, has helped to bring me much success in my business career, and as a business owner. While I carried a full load in undergraduate school, I managed to work part-time at the old Rich's Department Store in Downtown Atlanta, with the full support of all my professors. I can not begin to measure the valuable lessons I learned at this fine insitution, and how the school has helped to bring life back into Downtown Atlanta! GSU, you are a great citizen.
