The Scene
Located on the ground floor of Peachtree Center, this attractive, modern bistro features floor-to-ceiling windows, lacquered wicker chairs and a large, horseshoe-shaped sushi bar. Though popular with the business lunch crowd, the restaurant can be nearly empty on weeknights. Service is pleasant and generally efficient.
The Food
Superior sushi and a selection of mostly successful fusion dishes are the highlights of the pan-Asian menu. Sushi platters are an economical way to sample the wares. A temaki combo--five different hand rolls--shows the chefs' deft touch and eye for quality ingredients. Nigiri sushi, fresh and generously cut, ranks among the city's best. Best bets from the kitchen include Wanchi shrimp, a generous serving of deep-fried shrimp in a sweetish, mustard-accented sauce, and perfectly prepared Cantonese-style sea bass in black bean sauce. Lamb satay, another winner, is flavorful with its piquant and light peanut sauce. Desserts include egg custard and mango sorbet.

I came here to eat with my boyfriend on his lunch break. The server was very knowledgeable because I don't know much about sushi. The food was delicious and I enjoyed the view from the patio. I would definitely come eat here again!

Went to Pacific Rim with a group of friends in town and we were all disappointed. First off the restaurant smelled of old fish when we walked in. Then the server treated us with no respect and ignored our table. We think it was because they include tips for parties of 6 or more and he knew he would be getting a tip no matter how he treated us. As far as the food it was very ordinary and overpriced. There are too many great restaurants in Atlanta to waste your money on Pacific Rim.

My boyfriend and I dined here during the 2007 Atlanta Restaurant Week. We eat Asian food regularly and thought this would be a great place to return to. This was our 2nd time dining @ Pacific Rim so I expected it to be pretty good like the previous time. However, this time was a little different. Everything we were served was horrible. To begin the spring rolls were pretty tasty, and the dipping sauce was delicious. However, the crawfish sushi rolls were mediocre, and you could probably get better at a lower price joint like RuSans. We also had to wait a while before receiving any utensils & napkins. For Entrees we had the Wasabi Blue Cheese Filet Medallion and Salmon with Teriyaki Sauce and the Ground Kobe Sirloin Steak. The Surf & Turf was also nothing special, both the salmon and steak were really cold. The only thing that was right was the way the steak was cooked (Med) however, the cheese on top of the steak was the worst part- upon biting my steak I just could not finish eating it because it tasted so bad. The vegetables on the dish were edible. The Ground Kobe steak was nothing more than meatloaf dipped in soy sauce. Both of us did not finish our meals. On top of that they forgot to bring out our dessert, by the time the server realized this we got stale Tempura Chocolate Crispies (Chocolate and Banana Wrapped in Spring Roll Skin, Tempura Fried and Served with Raspberry Sauce) which we thought should be superb considering all our other mishaps, yet was also equally disappointing. The only thing that tasted good on this dish was the mango and tropical fruit salad. As for the bad service, 20% gratuity is already added. It may seem like a good deal ($25 for 3 dishes per person) but it is more of a rip off, and instead of Pacific Rim showcasing some of their best food, which should make people return, they definitely lost, and it seems as if they gave us their worst scraps from the kitchen.
