Editorial Review for Jocks & Jills CNN Center – by Jake Sussman
The Scene
This signature Atlanta chain populates most corners of the metro area with dependable neighborhood sports grills. The Brookhaven branch and Frankie's are the best for watching a game, with a good mix of big screens and smaller sets. The Midtown hub sports the best location, but the fewest televisions (although the patio can be a great place to watch a game). The CNN Center location fills up before games at the Dome or Philips. Autographed memorabilia decorates all locations, and plenty of non-greasy entrees are available from the kitchen.
The Draw
All forms of fan congregate at the six locations: the jersey-wearing die hard, the fantasy league stats hound, the intramural softball gang and the bored girlfriend.

When I went to Jocks and Jills, the service was great. We didn't have to wait long for food, even though it was a bit of a lunch rush. The food tasted great, it was hot as it should be, and nothing was old or anything. I went with a class trip, and we got right back on the bus within an hour, and for a sit down restaurant it was nice. It was enough lighting and it was quiet, the waiters were really nice and helpful in the selection of the food, you must try the Salmon with the glaze, if you like that sort of thing. A person who was with me had it, I tasted it and it was rather delicous.
Pros: prices, nice restaurant atmosphere, great place to eat , quick service
Cons: none

Years ago there was Burt's Place, Mimi's and several other Restaurants for good sit down food before and after the Flames and Hawks games! GONE, GONE, GONE! Jocks & Jills in the CNN Center is about all that is left with the exception of the Fast (Junk) Food Court and that is not the same. Jocks & Jills is one of the BEST SPORTS BARS in ATL but it certainly leaves little choice for anight at the game! The walls are covered with Bats, Jersies, Sticks, and every thing from the courts and fields. The food is very good and forever changing! You can certainly spend a lot of money if you are drinking, but that is expected for anyplace in-town. Jocks & Jills is fun and a unique experience but I still wish we had some of the variety that the OMNI Hotel and CNN Center once offered....
Pros: Very convienient and close to the ACTION....
