In Short – The sign on the outside is rusted, there are no windows besides the walk-up porthole and the door is one of those shady metal-screen jobs. There's no spot to sit, and if you try to get away with chowing in the waiting area, Nick himself will give you a friendly-yet-firm scolding--not exactly the blueprint for a culinary hot spot. But this little couple-run Greek-to-go shack off MLK churns out piles of real-deal Greek grub for minimal coin. Torpedo-sized gyros have their fluffy exterior over-stuffed with lamb and slathered with the garlic-y Tzatziki sauce. Of the nightly…

GREAT, unique choice for catered lunches!

by calliejc

I've used several caterers and restaurants in Atlanta for medical office lunches and none has received more applause than Nick's. Options like tender chicken and perfectly seasoned lamb gyros, doused in zesty tzatziki sauce and wrapped in a soft pita, appeal to both conservative and adventursome eaters. Their HUGE Greek salad with chuncks of feta and homemade spinach pie more than satisfy the vegetarians in the office. For the dessert option, always ask for the baklava. It's an awesome alternative to standard cookies and cakes. I always count on Nick's for large orders of unique, tasty food and dependable service.

Best Gyro in the city

by mcrudele

Nick's is a free standing tiny place with take out only, but it just happens to have the best gyros in town. The Pita is toasted on both sides, nice big cuts of tomatos, tender gyro meat.... happiness in a pita.
