Racist valet. When I arrived at the Buckhead location I was greeted by a racist valet. I simply drove my car in front of the establishment and was told "I thought you would be ready by now". Then he told me valet is complimentary and that I can self park because Black people do not tip and I do not need to waste his time. After I received my car and I did not tip because of the harsh words I was told " That's why I did you like that cuz blacks don't tip". He proceeded to say he keep a job and money.

What a waste. The menu is over priced, and you get charged more for items that are normally gratis at other restaurants in this genre. The Service was TERRIBLE, I would not have gotten ANY drink refills if I had not gone to the soda machine and refilled our drinks myself. The wait staff didn't even comment on my doing this, so I started refilling the drinks for the other parties at our table. The food orders were all mixed up, and when we asked for the manager, we waited for over 20 minutes just to have him say there was nothing he could do. Do not waste your time or money on this place.

Horrible Service, mediocre food, cheap atmosphere. Against my better judgement, I allowed a friend to drag me to Benihana in downtown Atlanta. After a lengthy wait (made more painful by a bad bartender and awful cocktail), we were finally seated at the Hibachi grill. Here we ordered sushi appetizer followed by the steak and lobster "special". Since one shares the table with several parties and we were the only party ordering apps, the timing of the entire meal was jumbled, leaving us having a watery soup, then our dry sushi, a salad and then on to the entree. Here, we watched in amazement as the cook served my lobster tail to the other party, despite my repeated and loud vocal objections. When I complained to the manager, their suggestion was to prepare me another lobster tail. By the time this was ready, of course, my company - as well as everyone else at the table - were done with their meal already, my steak (and rice, veg, etc.) were cold and the lobster undercooked.

Benihana's resolution? They comped a total of $8.46!!

Amazing. Including bar tab and tip, we spent over $130 at Benihana that evening and completely ruining our experience - and our Saturday night out - seems worth all of $8.46 to them. Trust that this will be my last visit to this restaurant or any other Benihana location.

Avoid at all cost!!

Knife-wielding chefs put on a show at this communal Japanese grill.. In Short
Benihana started out as a tiny four-table restaurant in New York City's theater district before becoming an international chain. Diners sit around large tables where chefs ostentatiously chop, slice, stir-fry and grill. Entree options are simple--shrimp, chicken, steak and scallops--and preparation is uniform. Every entree comes with a similar stock of sides: rice, onion soup, shrimp appetizer, iceberg lettuce drizzled with dressing, sauteed vegetables and green tea.

This place is horrible. I have tried many places. I do have to say that I have never been so disapointed. The chef was to busy watching what was going on at the other tables. The steak was over cooked and had no taste. The server was not on top of things. I had to wait way to long for something to drink and just to get my check. There was no show put on at all. I will never go back and if you are looking for good food it is not here.

Very disappointing quality not there. Chef was from south of border instead of the east.. I have been to half a dozen Benihana's and the one on Peachtree north of Atlanta was the worst one I have been eaten at. There was only one Japanesse Steak house Sushi bar that was worse than this one Tokyo Steak house in San Antonio, TX. Keep looking if your interested in quality and taste. Did not enjoy my experience and the chefs did not seem interested in entertainment. The wait staff was very slow.

Great Exciting Dining. They cook the food in front of you and do great fun presentations. Very Exciting. Food is pretty good if you order the right combination. Always ask what the item is because the menu is writtin in jibberish.

Things aren't as they seem. I went to this Benihana's location for a friend's birthday and was truly dissapointed. Our waiter was extremely rude and the manager didnt do as much to help rectify the problem. The food was ok, not well spiced though. This was my second visit to this same location and I have to say the serve has gotten worse.
