I've been to a lot of the Hard Rock's around the country, and this one was on a par with others. Fun place for lunch.

HARD ROCK ATLANTA ROCKS!. I was downtown and wanted to find a fun place to take my kids - I did not want fast food - I wanted a great meal! Two separate people - the guy at the Aquarium and the Ambassador guy (they wear the safari type outfits) both recommended Hard Rock. I had been there and was not really looking for a so-called touristy place. However, I thought 2 recommendations...I'll give it a shot.

Let's just say...I was so pleasantly surprised. The restaurant looked great; it had been updated since I went there last. It was clean and the service was out of this world! My kids were tired and hungry - our server quickly got my kids taken care of - mac & cheese for one and chicken fingers for the other! They loved it ...which made me love it even more! They were entertained by all the flat screens showing music videos and quite frankly, so was I! My food was incredible - a surprise again! I had the best salad - it had bleu cheese crumbles, craisins, and some kind of citrus dressing - really great! And while my boys had shakes - I got a creme brulee mini dessert. I was so impressed. I can't wait to go back and take my wife! And, my kids keep asking when they can go back! This is no longer a touristy place in my book - this is simply a great restaurant with great food, great service and an overall great time! We will be back!

Live music serves a side at this Hard Rock location.. In Short
On the surface this seems like any other Hard Rock, located in any other Downtown metro location. Walls are covered with decades of Top-40 memorabilia, rock songs blare in the background and an all-American menu typify this music-themed restaurant. The kitchen churns out group-friendly appetizers like nachos and Southern staples like barbecue ribs and chicken. Burgers are served with hefty sides of fries and the signature pulled-pork sandwich is topped with vinegar barbecue sauce. And while you can get your gift-shop shirts and shot glasses, the Atlanta location is one of the few to actually boast a music venue attached to the hip. Next door, the Hard Rock’s Velvet Underground is used for regional bands on the rise, as well as big acts (Rob Thomas) doing intimate performances. The 400-seat room is decked in hardwoods and framed print, and is exactly what you’d expect, having Hard Rock in the name.

Not for everyone. I was seated at Hard Rock Cafe at 4:10pm after a 20 min. wait. I was on a schedule and this was acceptable. My food was still not at our table at 5:15. They had lost our order and time was running out. The manager Mark was a great guy and very sorry for the delay but I was running out of time. Our food finally arrived at 5:45 and was not worth waiting for. Mark eased the situation by giving us our drinks and food. I really think he should have done more because I will never go back to the one in Atlanta.
