What People Are Saying About Pasta Max Cafe

In Short – This chef-owned Northern Italian restaurant may be one of Stockbridge's best-kept secrets. Located inside a Best Western hotel--just off Interstate 75--the interior is all old-world charm, with antiques, lace-draped wooden booths and rose petal-printed carpet creating a romantic mood. The food, prepared by CIA-trained chef Douglas Zitz, showcases the flavors of Italy. Highlights include fresh pastas, slow-cooked sauces, polenta, gourmet pizzas and grilled meats.
Great McDonough Dining
by amyamysimssims
First of all, Pasta Max is no longer in Stockbridge. It is in downtown McDonough on Griffin Street. The new building is quaint and small. That is why there is sometimes a wait to be seated on weekends. Seafood is the star here--there are typically specials of rainbow trout, sea scallops, swordfish, pan seared salmon, etc. Have eaten here probably 40 times and never had a bad meal.
- Pros: Big portions, moderate prices, great taste
- Cons: Sometimes a wait to be seated
