Excellent Fried Fish With All The Southern Sides.
Catfish Hollow is one of our regular weekend destinations. We sometimes have to wait a few minutes to be seated, but never for very long. The decor is relaxed, basic, and functional. The kids are always welcome here. Bring the grandparents, too. This is a family place.
We've always been pleased with our orders. The fried grouper is the best and the portions are large. You get two sides with the dinner, plus to-die-for hushpuppies and slaw. The sweet potato casserole is an especially good choice for a side item. If you prefer a nonstandard combination of fish on your platter, they can accommodate and you will be happy. Sometimes we have to wait for our order to arrive, so we just load up on hushpuppies and slaw.
The desserts are homemade and always look good. We're generally too full for dessert, but did once manage to share some strawberry shortcake. It was delicious.
