Good service. I recently had my cat diagnosed with cancer at EPAH. It was obvious she was losing weight and being 14 years old we decided to have her put to sleep. It seemed like it took quite a while for the staff to get me into a room the first visit especially when we had an appointment. Id say it was 15-20 minutes in the waiting room and the same in the back room until the vet came to see us and start with an examination. On the other hand I felt my cat was treated with respect and a caring attitude. A few weeks later as her condition became worse I took her down to EPAH and had her put to sleep. While these things are hard to go thru I look back and can not think of anything EPAH could have done better including sending my family a card signed by all the employees that work there. Its easy to be critical when the ultimate outcome is losing a pet that has become one of the family regardless of service rendered.

Bets animal hospital Ive ever been to. I have been taking my dogs to East Paulding since 2003. I drive 30-40 minutes to them. I don't understand the negative reviews except that maybe people didn't get the answers they wanted. Bad experiences happen at even the best of places!

They saved my puppy several yrs ago when he had Parvo. They have done several surgeries, teeth cleanings, and basic illness diagnosis. Recently my 14 yr Lab had to be put down. I was so impressed by their compassion at that time. Both the tech and Dr. Wegenhart got down on the floor with my dog and I. They processed all payments from the room, so I didn't have to pay while crying in front of everyone. They also gave me all the time I needed to sit with my dog before and after she passed. They have also expanded their parking lot, which is a tremendous help!! Finally their cost in comparison with other vets is lower.

Dr. Fornwalt and Dr. Wegenhart are my favorites! They have never steered us wrong!

I don't know why the negative reviews. I was referred to this practice when we obtained our kitten back in July. When I went I was a little weary because I had read the reviews on here about the negative things. I don't know why they would write such nasty things. From the moment I arrived they were very attentive towards me and especially towards my baby kitten. We ended up having her neutered there as well and she came home acting like nothing had happened. I now have a new baby puppy and I am taking him there as well today as a matter of fact. As far as pricing goes they are the cheapest I have found in that area. For a regular office exam it's $35.00 other places wanted $80.00 and up. I think they a reasonable and I think they are very personable there and until they prove it otherwise I will keep my posting here as a good review-those other bad reviews must have come from people who misunderstood something or just couldn't grasp that their pet was dying and no matter "who" gave them the news unfortunately that person was in line for their crude remarks in my opinion.

Very Happy about the service. We gave them all of 30min notice that our dog needed his shots yesterday. Got an appointment right away. Took Zeke down there and was greeted immediately, they even trimmed his claws without us asking. The Vet got down on the ground with him and reassured him as she did her thing. She took her time speaking with us and answered my questions which I appreciated. This is the first time Zeke hasn't gone crazy to leave the Vet's office ( he just scratched at the door rather than launching his body at it)-LOL . It's good to see my 'ole Zeke get such good treatment from people who genuinely care

Great Place for Pets!. This vet is so amazing. I took my kitten there the day after i found her and they helped me with everything. They answered all my questions and gave me a bunch of free kitten kits for my new kitten. I feel sorry for people that have not a good experience here, but it makes me mad that you would come on here and write something of that extreme. You have to give a place more than one try to make sure its the best place to go. After all, pets are family not just creatures we have to take care of. Thats why this is the best vet to go to because you are ensured that your animal will live a long healthy life!

Awesome, Caring Vets!. I had to write this review after reading the one previous. This animal hospital has been taking care of my 7 pets since they opened, and I love them. We have been through many ailments, and they always personally take care of my animals and me. They call me after a visit to check on my pet's status, and they have even sent me flowers after the death of a beloved pet...from kidney disease.

I hate that someone else has had a bad experience, but I trust them with my pets' (my only children) lives!

If you want to see your pet alive again, run!. If your pet is ill and you would like to see your pet again, run. This vet is OK for very routine issues. Vaccinations etc. For any surgery or anything complicated they are grossly inept. Especially if there are any complications. Go to a clinic that knows what they're doing and it's not this one. If they do operate on your beloved pet and something doesn't seem right, trust your gut before it's too late and you pet is gone forever. Run to a competent doctor or the pet emergency clinic and save your pet. This vets office can't handle anything but the routine and they don't know they're in over their head until it's too late and they are very reluctant to share the truth with you. You will find out all too late. Run, run for you pets life. Get out of there.

Wonderful, caring and great all around practice. I've used this practice for all my furry babies for 10 years. I had to put one of my old kitties down last week and they spent lots of time with us. The vet was with us for everything and offered to let us stay as long as we needed even though they were crazy busy! I've always been amazed that the office staff remembers each and every animal and treats them like their own. And Dr. Fornwalt and the others are excellent vets, very up to date on the latest veterinary treatments and info. I can't recommend highly enough.

Good for the basic cat and dog stuff only.... We had been going to this vet for five years for all our cats and dogs needs. Front office help is adequate, though fall short on personal attention. The eldest staff member is the exception. Don't expect a personal and lasting relationship between you, your pet and the doctors because as soon as you walk out the door, they will have forgotten your name. Never once in the numerous times I brought my pets in, did a single staff member or doctor remember our names. They keep you waiting in the examining rooms for far too long and once the doctor comes in, he/she is biting at the bit to move on to another patient

Even with the impersonal care, I still used their services due to convenience. Then my beloved boxer became ill. She died five weeks after the first symptoms had been reported and misdiagnosed. After several more visits, endless medications and over two thousand dollars, we took her in for a final desperate visit. Our Dr. was not available, so we were seen by the owner, who was very kind and caring. He told us that our dogs symptoms matched those of an inoperable brain tumor and recommended that we take her home and make her as comfortable as possible

The incident left a bad taste in my mouth. Our Vet. never studied common boxer ailments, nor consulted with a colleague regarding her symptoms. It was as if her pride got in the way of seeking a second opinion - she never even remembered our dogs name... She tried one medication after another and seemed to discount every symptom we relayed to her. She put our family and dog through hell in those final trying weeks. When I think about how all of this could have been avoided IF she would only have asked her fellow doctor/partner. to examine the dog, it makes me both angry and sad. To add insult to injury, I sold my motorcycle to continue paying her overpriced medical fees

After her passing, they're sent me a post card reminding me of needed shots.

Sensitive and caring doctors.. We have been taking our Pet family to East Paulding Animal hospital since 1994. We have seen the practice grow from one Veternarian to several veternarians. The doctors have always been kind and caring toward our pets and sensitive to us. We have lost two kitty's due to old age (19 and 22), we have one with Diabetes, one with Feline aids thank goodness our dogs are in good health ages 14, 4 and two.
