“But the steaks were originally just done in butter and the "prairie dust" can sometime ruin a good steak.”

Kinda Slow. Ordered To-Go. Got there 20-30 minutes later and it still wasn't ready. Stood at the bar for about 10 minutes, 5 of those watching my food sit in the window while countless, roaming, non-busy servers walked by and didn't bother to touch it.

A Satisfying Comeback!. We haven't eaten in Longhorn since 2001. But we'd say we were not disappointed at all. We had no room for dessert. Our steaks were done just right. We loved the bread, the mashed potato, sweet potato, and grilled shrimp.

This was dinner time, 7-ish. Maybe our waiter was a bit tired already. He was in a little rush. And he forgot to get my daughter crayons as he promised. Oh well, it was still a good dinner.

National chain rustles up rib eyes, T-bones and fillets in a kid-friendly, Lone Star-inspired setting.. In Short
One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.

old standby. I have been eating at Longhorn's for over twenty years and with corporate growth comes problems, but if you stick to the origianl menu, theydo it right.

Always get the filet, can't go wrong. And originally the salads were just lettuce, tomato and onion, stick to that too. What has happened is that in appealing to "everyone" they have too much diviersity. They do great salmon and their shrimp is good. But the steaks were originally just done in butter and the "prairie dust" can sometime ruin a good steak. But it is you that is ordering and you should take responsibility, I have found that they will ALWAYS do it your way. As for deserts, reduce the size!!!

No Birthday Celebration. Went for a birthday dinner - hopefully it was an awful (and off-) night that isn't the norm.

Steak to be done "medium" came out "well done," then a 2nd came back "medium well". Yes, they credited the bill, but in an uncrowded place we had been stuck back in a dark corner near the restrooms.

While waiting for the 2nd steak, a couple's entree's arrived before they had gotten their salads.

Won't go back to this branch of the chain again.
