Douglas Oaks Average is 5 STARS around the web. THANK YOU for your time & reviews! Please click & read ALL reviews around the web for the most current experiences. Douglas Oaks Animal Hospital has had more 5 star reviews than any other. Since new ownership October 2008, they had many 5 star reviews & one 4 star. They care about patients, clients & their team! They constantly strive to improve & provide for everyone's needs. FYI, Citysearch has only Citysearch's reviews on it's landing page. Tired of the old review & time for the current! Their most recent review, was before new ownership & their comments do not show up without clicking on them. I don't know another way to let everyone know. Happy tails to you! THANK YOU!
Bad vet in Douglas County.
If you love and care about your pets as I do, you need to check out the Douglas Oaks Animal Hospital. I'm very dissapointed with Dr. Morgan and his office staff wife, Judy Morgan. I almost lost my cat due to total neglance and lack of concern from this animal clinic. I took a male cat in at 10:30 AM Friday morning crying out in pain as he couldn't urinate. This should have been treated as an emergency as it's considered life threatning. This I did not know at the time. I had already taken my cat to Morgan a few weeks prior with the same problem, not just as severe. He would not order test or x-rays but sent him home on antoboties saying he sounded a little raspy. He went on to say he may have a constipation problem blocking his bladder a little, but he'd be ok, just give him some cat lax. The problem was he had KIDNEY stones. He obiviousley manage to pass it however, there were many more. The new vet after doing an ultra sound and other test said his bladder was swollen and had so many stones it looked like a snow globe. To make a long story short, I ended up having to pick up my pet from Morgan's office and take him to the vet emergency clinic to have a cath put in to drain his bladder. Come to find out this clinic on Thornton Road was afficilated with this bunch and provided a poor level of care as well. This is another story. I did manage to find a reputable vet and emergency clinic. Dr Morgan let this poor suffering cat lay up there in a cage all day as he saw other patients. When I called and finally got to speak with him, he said he would probably have to wait till he got off work to do the cath. Can you believe this statement? I think this is a disgrace. I plan to make it my top priority to try and make certain people are aware of this type of care so maybe no other sweet little innocent cat will have this kind of in humane treatment from someone of this character, or maybe I should say his lack of charcter.

Best Vets around. I have met both Dr Verner and Dr Morgan. My cat hates other vets but did good with Dr Morgan. Dr Verner has done alot for our dog. I would highly recommend them. They have a great understanding manner and are very good with the animals. You will feel comfortable with them no matter the situation.
Thanks for a positive Douglas Oaks Animal Hospital Review! I hope you will visit New Owner Dr. Mike Gallagher & Associate Dr. Todd Jones. Happy Tails to you & Yours! Jane Gallagher, Greeter & Wife
