Though not exceptional. Cumberland Smyrna GA .I like the place but the service wasn't great .We had a server Muslim refused to serve wine so he was monkeying around staring at us .The person was called Moh ruined my date night so we had to leave slowly and go somewhere else. Also manager wasn't around to complain. My friend has same experience same person was staring at her in strange way...

I know I’ve dined at a Stoney River prior to our experience last month I can’t say that it was a memorable experience for me as it didn’t leave any favorable impression on me like I had... was a mediocre food and service I received

Great drinks, great company, great food!. Stoney River is the perfect locale whether you are going to after work drinks or for a 5 course dinner date. The atmosphere is inviting, the service is top notch, the drinks are strong, and the steaks are tender

YUM!

Great food, too busy at times. Until Ted's opened near the Mall of Georgia, this was the best local option for a good steak unless you wanted to drive to Sandy Springs. Great food, but the wait has gotten ridiculous the past couple of months. I'll keep going there - love the atmosphere - but will drive further for Ted's.

Great on Saturday nights. Have been going to Stoney River for over 10 years and have never had a bad meal! The Pecan-Encrusted Swordfish is absolutley the best and they lay the fish on the tastiest Garlic Smashed Potatoes. Yummy.

Lively atmosphere, beautiful people. Bar is engaging and drinks are a good size at a good price. I have never been disappointed and have taken many friends and family to dine.

Not so great. So...I use to eat here 3 or 4 times a week. Since the last time I was here, 3 years ago or so, the food has gone down hill.

My dinner partner & I shared the Spinach Dip & Crab Cakes

The Spinach dip was flavorless, worse than TJI Fridays. The Crab Cakes were in a sauce, akin to Miracle Whip. Not so tasty, when freezer-burned canned crab is what is in stock.

Don't even get me started on the service at the bar, where we ate! 3 bartenders, still waiting for drinks. The side-bar seemed to be the focul point of the bartender's attention. Guess what G's, that is not were the tips really come from.

Please, Stoney River, step it up to what you once were. And please, lay off the MSG!!!

Not what we expected at all! Bad experience.. We took some out-of-towners here for a good steak on a Friday night and it was not what we expected!!

2 of our 4 main entrees came out wrong and when they were sent back they came back still wrong! One dish I got was a chicken breast dish and they had to go check to make sure they even had chicken?! I know it's a steakhouse but seriously.

They did have one single breast left and said it was mine! So when the chicken dish came out with gravy on it (I specifically asked that there be NO gravy) we sent it back. The funny thing is that if they had no more chicken because I got the last one, how could they cook a new one? They didn't...they brought back what appeared to be the exact plate with the same chicken breast with the gravy washed off and then the whole plate microwaved. The green beans were shriveled up little sticks and the chicken was as dry as could be. I ended up selecting an entirely new entree which was better but by then most of our party was done eating and I was no longer hungry as I had been eating from their plates.

The other bad dish was an extremely undercooked steak when medium was ordered. When it was sent back it still was bloody and was eaten anyway, because it had been so much trouble already.

We were offered nothing in the way of items removed from our bill or anything, for our trouble and bad experience.

Atmosphere was pretty poor as well and it was very crowded. We did "call ahead" and still waited for 30 minutes to get our table.

We were embarrased that we even took our guests here as they specifically asked us to pick a good steakhouse!

Try somewhere else!

Great Food. You know it's not the place for atmosphere but the steak makes up for it. Lots of suburban success being coddled here, but as I said, the steak is great.

Very Good Steaks and Great Drinks. Stoney River seems to be one of northeast Fultons favorite upscale casual restaurants. While the Northwest lodge atmosphere may seem a bit odd in the summer, it has the perfect feel in the cooler months. The bar servers a number of very good martinis and they have a good wine selection. The meal starts out with their signature rolls which are really more like little doughnuts (very addictive). There are quite a few good appetizers but our favorite is the smoked salmon. It has a very light, smoky flavor, not the overpowering fish taste that you sometimes get with salmon. There are a number of entrees other than the steaks, but this is Stoney River Legendary Steaks, among my wifes favorites are the steamed sea bass, pecan crusted swordfish and the horseradish crusted grouper. I prefer the filet but has also heard good things about the ribeye. On the downside, be prepared for a long wait on the weekends. I believe they now have some type of priority seating but we have not yet tried it. For the most part our service has ranged from good to excellent (one bad experience when we made the mistake of going on Mothers day, we should have known better). Overall a very nice atmosphere and very good food and service.

Great food, poor service. Celebrated a birthday there last week with family. Food took forever, and on a Sunday night. Still great food, but incompetent service...

Longgggg Wait/Loud Atmosphere/Good Food. No reservations but you can "call ahead", wish I would have known. We had to wait 50 mins. for a table and then another 50 for the food. The hostesses were all high school girls that could use a few communications classes. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy. Dress code ranged from sweatshirts and jeans to dressy. There were families, large groups, and couples of various ages. The tables rolls are very good and sweet , they taste like doughnuts. I ordered the London Filet with the carmelized mashed potatoes. The potatoes were made with brown sugar and a few carmelized onions, very good. The filet was very thick and good, not "the best" I ever had but close to it. The potatoes and rolls were awesome. I would go again after "calling ahead".
