Tips for Longhorn Steakhouse

July 22, 2008

National chain rustles up rib eyes, T-bones and fillets in a kid-friendly, Lone Star-inspired setting.. In Short
One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.

very good steaks and great service. A $13 (6 oz.) filet was good but way overpriced for lunch. They use a lot of black pepper and it is a good thing I like it. I still say I can make a better steak than any I have had but have never eaten at Prime, Bones, or Chops. One thing I did notice about this Longhorn's, it was run by very professional greeters/hosts/waitpersons. As soon as you walk in the door, the wireless headphoned greeter says it will be just a minute. Sure enough, we were seated in less than a minute. Our waitress (and others) seemed extremely friendly. It's a very good atmosphere with good service but not worth the price of lunch.

best steaks!. this is a great place for a family, date, business dinner, whatever the occasion! the laid back atmosphere makes longhorn a great place to dine! bring the kids, throw peanut shells on the floor, who could ask for anything more, and if your dinner isnt just how you like it, theyll cook you another one and throw in a dessert or something to make up for it! its a great place, i highly recommend it!
