In Short – Booths equipped with tabletop fondue pots are clustered together inside the intimate dining room. Start with a cheese fondue, including an assortment of breads, veggies and fruits for dipping. Entrees include lobster, center-cut filet, fish, chicken and vegetarian selections served with a variety of dipping sauces. For dessert, try the flaming turtle, a mix of chocolate and caramel flambéed tableside, served with nut-covered marshmallows, fresh fruit, pound cake, brownies and cheesecake.

The whole experience is wonderful

by tankerwife610 at Citysearch

This was where my husband took me on our first date a year ago, I've been a few times prior his first. It's WONDERFUL. Yes it is a bit pricey, but its definately worth it. Any special occasion this plae is where we'll be. To save a few bucks choose the "Big Night Out" it comes with salad then a cheese of your choice the 3 feature meat trays then chocolate of your choice with desserts to dip in that are purely heaven. You get full but never feel over stuffed. It does take a while longer than a typical resturant so don't be in a rush. But cooking your food in a private romantic place with someone you care for is what its all about here. We've never been disappointed the quality of food is excellent, service is wonderful. Definately a place to try at least once to say you've been. I've now bought a fondue maker for home to create our own fondue resturantt home. It's very romantic but at the same time a great place to go with family and friends. It gives you time to talk to them and not feel rushed and relaxed. The pineapples dipped in chocolate is a slice of heaven.

  • Pros: Food, service, romantic
  • Cons: may be a bit pricey for just a saturday night out

THE BEST SPECIALTY / ROMANTIC RESTAURANT IN ATLANTA

by davidhgay at Citysearch

We have been frequenting The MeltingPot (all locations) since Bob first opened the Gwinnett store years ago. They never disappoint! The stores at Town Center and on Mansell have carried on the EXCELLENT SERVICE and WONDERFUL FOOD in the same tradition! I am really excited about the new location opening in the Mid Town Bell Tower soon! A wonderful location for before or after activities at the Fox.... We always plan to do special occasions at The MeltingPot.. NEW YEARS EVE, VELENTINES DAY and BIRTHDAYS are always planned but we have now started enjoying just coming in for desert after a show or appetizers and drinks before a night out. All of the staff and management, Mark, Stacey, Bob, Jonathan and all of the others make The MeltingPot a very special place to enjoy ANY occasion! TRY IT... A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE that will create memories and traditions like it has for us for years..

  • Pros: A wonderful and impressive evening out.. Well worth the price and time for a meal!
  • Cons: Not enough locations.... Fixing THAT!

GREAT FUN

by becca920 at Citysearch

We had a wonderful time here. The Food was great and the service was exceptional. We were first timers and our server went above and beyond explaining as she set everything up. Everything was so fresh. The swiss fondue was exceptional and the chocolate fondue to die for. The only con abou this place is price. They have no cook staff, only prep staff since the food is cooked at the table so I can not understand why the prices are so high. I know we would go more often now that we have been once and loved it, but it is an unaffordable luxury for us that is for only special occassions or holidays. We were seated promptly and it was very clean and we would highly recommend it to anyone for a special night out. However, I dont think I would take children the atmosphere is more romantic ambiance. Simply Wonderful ! I want to go right now!

  • Pros: ambience, service
  • Cons: extremely pricey especially since one cooks their own food
