Jasha is the best!. My son has only played baseball for 2 seasons, and travel baseball for 1. He is 9 years old but plays on a 10U team. He came to see Jasha with a batting average of .179, however after ONE session with Jasha, not only did he hit his first homerun of the season, his batting average increased to .325! We owe it all to Jasha and his consistent instruction. He immediately changed our son's bad habits and it has been all uphill from there. Jasha is our son's batting coach for life! (or at least until he's in the pros ;o)
Results are in the Hits!.
After hearing "hips first" for months and not seeing improvement in batting during his 9U season, my son started training with Jasha. After just a few lessons, he came out driving the ball like never before, consistently hitting singles and doubles. "His bat is On Fire!" was the comment from one of his coaches.
Jasha was able to get rid of the bad habits he had been taught while he was still young and adjust him with the proper mechanics. He made it simple. My son finished out his season a strong batter and continued with power through the fall.
For Spring 10U he played on a team that had group training at another training facility. Unfortunately we learned the hard way that all training isn't the same. He came to the group training a strong batter and came out the other end hitting a .174 his first tournament. Not the results we would expect. We immediately came back to Jasha and by the next tournament, he came out batting a .700 average. Quite a difference. No one compares to Jasha! He finished out his season in the top 4 batting averages with a .424 overall and the highest 2 strike hits on the team.
Other team coaches frequently comment to my son about his hitting and great swing. We recommend Jasha highly to anyone who wants to develop as a consistent, quality hitter!
Best Hitting Coach In Gwinnett.
My son has been a full-time competitive baseball player in Gwinnett County since Tee-Ball. Throughout our travels, we have encountered a variety of coaches and hitting instructors. Although he was always been one of the better hitters on his team, we wanted to take his game to another level. That is when we found Jasha Balcom.
My son has taken lessons from Jasha for two years now and each year we have focused on achieving a desired result. Each year, Jasha has delivered. Whether it was breaking down mechanics to finds holes in his swing, hitting for power or hitting to the opposite field, Jasha has taken a calm and deliberate approach that resonates with my son. His tutelage has been so effective that we scheduled an evening for Jasha to work with his whole team! Each and every parent echoed my sentiment and most decided to sign up for individual lessons.
Even as the lead off hitter, my son won the batting title for his team again this year and remains motivated to continue to work on his offensive game. In addition, my son has developed a cerebral approach to hitting and is now able to auto correct himself if he does not achieve the desired result at the plate. He has developed an insatiable drive to master his craft and I owe that to Jasha and his innovative approach to hitting. Although I coach and actively work with my son, the proof is in Jasha’s pedigree and the results translate in his teachings.
We have found our hitting coach and I highly encourage you to experience what we have.
If ur serious about ur son becoming an ELITE hitter!.
Jasha has helped my son become a well disciplined hitter!
His travel team batting average went from less than .200 early in the season, to hitting over .500 at the end of his 11U season.
Last year, as he played 12U, Jasha succeeded in fully breaking down his old habits and reset proper hitting techniques that allowed him to swing with power, discipline and through the zone. In the last 11 games of Fall 2009 season, he hit 7 HR's with an average of .700+.
At the end of Spring 2010, my son broke his right toe. Jasha worked on changing his stance and follow-through so he can hit solidly without putting too much pressure on his back foot and toe. At Cooperstown, June 2010, his lessons and adjustments came through, where he hit 8-11 and got on base 11-13 times.
I highly recommend Hittersbox baseball to any parent serious about building his son to become an elite hitter!
