Worst Chopped Barbecue Ever. I ordered a chopped BBQ sandwich and it was honostly the worst I have ever had in my entire life. It was absolutely unedible. I took a couple bites of this somewhat shaved pork that was saturated in an awful tomato based sauce. I would never ever eat there again. I am new to the Atlanta, but if this is their idea of BBQ, they really need some lessons from NORTH CAROLINA!

Best Brunswick stew and Cornbread. This place is great. We usually go here to have breakfast on the weekends. The ambiance with the building being a log house, is very cool. The food is great, I have yet to find Brunswick stew and Cornbread as good anywhere else (and trust me I have tried...). Their food is not cheap by any means but very, very tasty. I usually have their smoked, sliced turkey or their fried chicken both of which are really good. The only negative thing I have heard is that their country fried steak does not come with white gravy but brown (not sure if you can ask for white gravy instead or not).

Great Breakfast / Brunch on the Weekends.... JR's has been a favorite Lunch location for years abut I recently tried the weekend brunch. I went in expecting the same old fare of eggs and omletes but was truly surprised! We had the pancakes that were phenominal! The size of a serving platter but light and fluffy.... Served with fresh maple syrup and warm butter this was an exceptional breakfast along with the thick sliced hickory smoked bacon. A real treat from a BBQ joint! Give it a try... They are crowded but worth the brief wait...

Editorial Review. Offering flapjacks and ribs, this rustic restaurant gets points for its Southern-style breakfast and for its pit-cooked 'que.

Great Sunday Breakfast!. Have been a Sunday regular at JR's for 20 years. The Big Mike's omelet is delicious. Every once in a while I'll have the Leonard's favorite with the best huge pancakes and bacon. Make sure you ask for a basket of biscuits and blueberry muffins while you wait. Yum!
