Thank goodness for the Blue Ribbon Grill.
Go to Blue Ribbon for "happy body" food. The meat loaf is always amazing; green beans are like grandma made. The chips covered with blue cheese will ruin a diet but you have to eat them.
I ate there last night because I wanted to eat in a place that would make me happy. Blue Ribbon always does.
Great food and great customer service!. I went here for lunch today and absolutely loved it! I had the daily special roast beef. The funny thing is, I'm not even a huge roast beef fan but it was really good! My service was fantastic. My waitress was extremely friendly and you could tell she enjoyed her job. I will be back!
Neighborhood Tucker bar & restaurant. The Blue Ribbon Grill is a classic neighborhood bar & grill in the Tucker Northlake area of Atlanta. Their meatloaf is one of our family favorites and a real bargain for the money. Crab cakes, burgers & chicken pot pie are also good choices but chicken tenders are nothing special. Service is usually very friendly and fast. Jill (at the bar) is great !
OMG I Keep Trying This Place....Why?. I don't know why but I tried one more time and decided to write a review this time. We got there right as they opened on Sunday. Restaurant has a strong musty overbearing odor. Ordered Chicken Salad Sandwich. It was the chuncky dry with no onions or flavor. The Bread was not fresh and no onions on the sandwich just one ... did I say one piece of lettuce and thin slice of tomatoe. I plan never to go back. Over priced and not worth the time. It may have been around for 20+ years but some things need to change.
Mixed Experience. I remember the food being great for the most part. They even had Irish soda bread for St. Patty's day. However, I ordered spinach dip, and found shards of glass in my dip, which the server was at a total loss to explain. They gave us our food on the house unasked, but I still don't want to go back.
Awesome food, awesome staff,Best martini's ever!!!!. This little gem of a place is kinda hidden but once you find it you will be glad you did.Just moved back into town and the first place I wanted to go was the blue ribbon.I was meeting some friends so I went to the bar,I couldn't wait to have one of there awesome martini's.Now remind you I haven't been here in about a year but the same bartender name jill walked right up to me and said hello and asked me if I wanted a ketel martini dry up with onions and olives.I can't remember what I had last week but she remembered me and my drink. She was very nice and a little sassy but makes you feel like you are part of the family. My friends showed up and we all had ribeyes and the house salads which are to die for.Everything was great like I remembered. The only suggestion I have is maybe to expand the wine selection but other than that a great dining experience was had by all once again!!!and will be had again and again!!!
Really nothing special. I went for a late lunch on a Saturday. The burger and fries were okay, but nothing really special. The service was average, too. I guess the message is: don't go here if you're looking for someplace that will knock your socks off.
great bartenders!!!!Wayno and Jilly!!!. Went for lunch one day as recommended by a co-worker,sat at the bar and had "Wayno"the day bartender entertain me while having the best grouper sandwich ever!!Wayno said to come back after work and bring some friends and have drinks with "jill" the evening bartender and that's what I did after the excellent time I had at lunch.I brought some out of town clients for drinks and they had the best time.jill made us feel like we were at "Cheers".After a few cocktails jill talked us in to having dinner so she right away got us a table for 6 and told us vanessa would be right with us.Vanessa was very helpful in explaining menu items and recommending signature items which were excellent!!Who would think "fried green beans"would be one of the best appetizers I have ever tried. We had various entrees from blue cheese filets to tequlia tilapia to the largest portion of meatloaf I have ever seen.Everyone was happy!!!!Jill makes a mean martini!!Can't wait to visit again!!!!Awesome!!!
Our Road Trip Find Gets An A+. Finding this dining pleasure on our way to Stone Mountain was like hitting the lottery. Not only was the food excellent; the Maryland crab cakes, grouper, meatloaf, house salad with whole peacans and crumbled blue cheese, but the martinis are delicious! The children's menu portions are unbelievably generous. The prices are more than fair. I will be sure to return on my next trip to the Atlanta area!!
great american food. Great american comfort food served in festive eclectic environment. Great burgers, fries are good too! But I really enjoyed the oversized meatloaf sandwich with gigantic onion rings.
