Sangria's is Really Great - Puerto Rican Tuesday's Specailty menu makes you wish everyday could be Tuesday!.
I love Sangria's Mexican Restaurant in Tucker. My favorite day of the week is Tuesday which is Puerto Rican Night. They have authentic local Puerto Rican Dishes that are outstanding.
The salsa, chips, and dip are always delicious.
The Sangria Recipe made from Red Wine and Fresh Citrus Fruit OMG is it yummy!
All other dishes are wonderful also!
Now the desserts are really fabulous. My favorite is the Chocolate Flan but there are other flavors to try as well. The Flan is a family recipe that is best described as being similar to a Cheese Cake with a creamy custard influence.
If you are really feeling decadent you should try the Chocolate Chimichanga.
Birthdays are also much fun at Sangrias not your traditional song of Happy Birthday all the staff joins in with different sound instruments to create a very fun festive happy birthday song that is joyful and fun.
Very very average....
My family goes to Sangrias in Tucker quite a bit. It is a good place for families and those looking for an inexpensive "sit down" meal. However...It is nothing special. It is to the point that I refuse to go to Sangrias, even when offered a free meal. The food is the typical, run of the mill Mexican food. Which is ok for some, but for me, It lacks any real uniqueness. Bland beans and rice, same ole' salsa you can find at any mexican joint, and their cheese dip is nothing rave about either.
Others have mentioned their great service, but I don't see it. It could be because I'm never with a group less than 5 people, but they can never keep my tea glass filled (I love sweet tea). Most of their "main" dishes are fresh, but never the side items. Stay away from the Carnitas, they are always dry and 50% grissel.
The only redeeming quality about Sangrias is their patio, which is very nice in the fall and spring, but terrible in the hot days of summer.
My advice... unless you are craving some cheap mexican, and its the only place near you... don't make the trip to Sangrias... you will be dissapointed.
Good food, great drinks, exceptional customer service, good value.
My wife and I have been going to Sangria's in Tucker for the last few years, either to dine in or carry out, and I've taken my daughter there on a "date" as well - all good experiences in every regard. My favorite place by far to get Mexican food.
This past Saturday, my wife and I went on a date to Sangria's, and the service, which has always been good, was exceptional. We had drinks and chips almost immediately. Their cheese dip variety is exceptional - the spinach and the jalapeno are my favorites! My wife enjoyed the fajita salad for dinner, while I ordered the flautas - both platters served at the right temperature, indicating that they were served immediately upon preparation. The waitress was exremely helpful and knowledgeable in explaining dishes and answering questions, and was very attentive. The food was great - the flautas needed a little something else in the way of flavor, but good nonetheless.
Sangria's continues to maintain a tradition of excellent customer focus and delivery of a great dining experience, whether for lunch or dinner. Very family-friendly as well - the waitresses are great with kids! Highly recommended.
The best warm tortilla chips and cheese dip!. My son's personal favorite dish: the chicken flautas. Like any Mexican Restaurant they promptly serve your table with warm chips and homemade salsa. But don't miss asking for their cheese dip. We love Puerto Rican night on Tuesdays where the owners are originally from. We had a large gathering this past summer with our extended family and everyone loved it. Even for those who normally don't like Mexican fare were impressed with the choices on the menu that suited their taste for milder food. My favorite is either the fish tacos or chicken jalapeno skins ordered as the main dish rather than an appetizer. Prompt service and perfect for your family of all ages.
Great Place for friends and families.
Visited recently (over the holidays) with my family and had the best meal ever!
Great Texas Margaritas, great service, the kids got a "PRIZE" when finished with their coloring pages. Fun atmosphere and prompt service, the food was fresh, all made to order.
Editorial Review. This casual Tex-Mex eatery serves up traditional favorites and daily specials and also features a full bar and patio.
Sangrias is good. Went there (again) recently, and it is very consistent. Pleasant service. Most menu items are made from scratch. Filet mignon fajitas on Friday nites are the best I've eaten. Recommended.
