LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING. Hello All!

I have been in the Smyrna/Vinings area for about 9 yrs and my husband introduced me to Oga's. Upon driving up, I was hesitant to even enter. It is located in Smyrna on Windy Hill Rd and the area has alot of old/closed shops and very lil activity in the immediate area, some would say an eyesore. But the food is MARVELOUS and the prices are unbeatable. If you like 'soulfood', ie (fresly cooked) cabbage, collards, rutabaga, pinto beans, fried green tomatoes, etc GO INSIDE!!! I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I am a funny eater, very picky!!! But I have enjoyed everything I have ever tried. And they have been in Business for Years. My husband said his uncle took him there when he was very young needless to say his 33 now. Give them a try and I guarantee they will have you coming back. And say Hello to Miss Annie. She is the waitress there. I met her when I went in the 1st time and she speaks to me by name when we visit.. Don't let the outer appearance run you off, cause once you taste the food you will be running back.... tellthem Taste Buds sent you!!! I am on the way there today.....

Good food, meat + 2, good prices. Restaurant is dumpy on the outside and not much better on the inside. Has the feel of a Waffle House. Their meat and 2 sides lunch specials are very good. For the same amount of money, I would rather go to Vittle's on South Cobb Drive. The food is better and the service is much better at Vittles. Both Oga's and Vittle's would have to fight over last place in a decorating/cleanliness contest.
