If you're not a sushi fan, this place has the best katsu don in town. This is not some silly "steakhouse". The FOOD is the reason to go to Tanaka, not onion volcanoes. It's a tiny place, though. It can be difficult to get in with a large group.

If everyone discovers tanaka, it'll get crowded and my wife and I will have to wait to be seated. That will delay our enjoyment of a wonderful spicy scallop roll, and an excellent smoked salmon sashimi. We've been sampling sushi restaurants all around, and keep coming back to Tanaka.

Tanaka Japanese restaurant is an excellent place for authentic Japanese food. It is owned and run by actual Japanese people, and the service is perfect. The servers are ever so attentive and listen to you. The food is cooked expertly, and bento-style boxes of food are also served. Tanaka's prices are a great value for such quality food, making this a great place to eat. PROS: Great staff, authentic food, quaint atmosphere. CONS: None!
