Great night out, beautiful ambiance, great band - well worth the wait. Brookwood Grill in Alpharetta was great: Food, service, wait for seating, everything.

We arrived at Brookwood Grill and discovered an hour wait. They had a nice live band, but it was a little loud in the bar area. They had a very cool wait management system that I had to ask about because it really helped keep us at the restaurant instead of going some place else. They used a system by Queuent that called us on our mobile phones when seating was available. So even though we had to wait an hour, we didn't have to wait at the bar and shop around the local stores while we waited. When we were called (after about 50 minutes of waiting), we were at the other end of the center but the system let us delay by 15 minutes. When we returned to Brookwood Grill they sat us at the very next table.

For being on an hour wait, the restaurant didn't seem that crowded but all the tables were full and everything was very smooth and easy to navigate. The server greeted us at our table and was very professional. We ordered drinks while we looked over a very well designed menu. The drinks were served within a few minutes and we ordered the Chicken Skewers - A great appetizer and now one of my favorites.

For dinner I ordered the Shrimp Scampi. This is usually one of my benchmarks for American cuisine because of the simplicity of the dish yet ease for something to go wrong. It was excellent, not too buttery, Shrimp was not over done and tough, and vegetables were crisp.

All in all, a great casual night out for my wife and I. Highly recommended for a dinner + movie night. And being able to walk around instead of standing in a crowded restaurant waiting for a table, really made the evening.

Disappointment. Great ambience and outstanding service but the food was a disappointment for the most part. The presentation of the entrees was wonderful, unfortunately that was the only high point of the meal. The peppercorn tuna salad did not reflect the menu description whatsoever. It primarily consisted of field greens, walnuts and tasteless mandarine oranges - only one tiny piece of avocado in the entire salad. The serving of tuna was about half of the normal serving size given at most comparable establishments. My dining partner ordered the seafood special which consisted of shrimp, one crabcake, scallops (for an extra $7.95 on top of the $27.95 - which was never mentioned by the server) and one side item. This entree was good but nothing special - especially for $35.90. Overall, a large disappointment. Maybe seafood just isn't their forte? Will not be returning - wasted $80.00!

Superb, artfully-presented American fare served in a warm, elegantly rustic suburban setting.. The Scene
Don't let an exterior that alludes to generic chain restaurant fare make you miss this eatery. The dining room's dark woods and flagstone and its brick walls create a warm, inviting atmosphere accented with soft lighting and booth seating. The sophisticated piano bar doubles as a dining area for smokers.

The Food
Ethnically accented, freshly prepared American cuisine is artfully presented and served by an attentive staff. Begin with chicken skewers, coated in almonds, sesame seeds and a hint of rosemary, and served with mandarin orange and Thai dipping sauces. The gently cooked hickory-grilled shrimp are lightly spiced and accompanied by a tangy remoulade. On the lighter side, try the perfectly steamed sea bass served on a bed of fresh braised spinach. Hearty eaters will love the slab of fall-off-the-bone tender ribs, lightly slathered in barbecue sauce. Forgo the average Caesar for the house salad with balsamic vinegar dressing.

Lively, warm atmosphere!. The appetizers and food are wonderfully delicious! Not your typical bar/night club fare. The live music and song request completes the experience!! Plus, look for a lot of audience interaction & particiaption!

chicken fingers the best. Best chicken fingers in town! I wish they hadn't closed their Norcross location.
