“The beautiful, open gallery houses a variety of handmade arts and crafts.”
“The pottery is nice and you can always find something for a hostess gift.”
“The long of it is- be prepared for the staff but enjoy the art.”
Worth a visit!. I love shopping here The shop girls always help me pick out the perfect gift no matter who I am buying for or no matter what the occasion. Shopping at the Raiford Gallery is always a fun experience and they wrap with lots of ribbon! Sometimes I stop in even when I don't need a gift because I always leave with a smile.
Service with a smile.
I have found that Raiford Gallery is a great place for buying unique handmade items. The jewelry is THE BEST if you are looking for something that is special and one-of-a-kind. You won't find David Yurman here. Nothing in the place is mass produced.
The staff is super friendly and always makes me feel welcome. They greet me when I walk in, but don't hover
while I browse. If I have questions, they are there with a smile, and a key to open the jewelry cases.
Excellent Gifts If you can Stand the Service.
I often dread shopping at Raiford but find myself returning again and again because it at heart is a super shop! (and I am apparently a freak seeking discomfort!) I am not a shy person- no fear of public or shopping. I have no problem standing up for myself or asking for help- yet at the Raiford I find myself intimidated. My friend who turned me onto the Raiford shares my opinions on the staff!!
The selection of gifts and jewlery is fantastic and ever changing. The jewelry can, at times, be overwhleming. I have spent an hour pacing in front of the cases with no-one to guide me or feeling that by asking someone to for assistance was an imposition.
I send my husband here for all my gifts. They do have a nice gift list they can keep available for future shoppers that is helpful. My friends and husband love it. Although if for some reason you don't LOVE what is chosen for you the staff seems to take it quite personally. Like you aren't "cool" enough to understand what you have been given! The upside is you are sure to find something else you will love- but for sure without anyones assistance.
The pottery is nice and you can always find something for a hostess gift. I am obsessed with the yard animals. Fun metal animals recycled from found objects.
The long of it is- be prepared for the staff but enjoy the art. It is fantastic!
High-quality contemporary craft gallery you'd expect to find in artsy Asheville, not suburban Atlanta..
The Scene
With its towering post-and-beam construction and red tin roof, this gallery looks like someone's mountain house--a wealthy someone. Light pours into the airy interior from generous windows and skylights. Clean white walls showcase serious art and contemporary crafts. The staff and customers always seem to be enjoying each other, with owner Judie Raiford, a flamboyant jewelry artist whose husband is mayor of Roswell, leading the pack.
The Goods
This large gallery features a wide range of visual art and handcrafts, from thought-provoking oil paintings to whimsical kitchen utensils. There is a large collection of handcrafted jewelry, including Raiford's own bold-scaled designs. Year-round the gallery carries a creative selection of Judaica.
Great Shop. The Raiford Gallery is a welcome respite from your ordinary shopping experience. The beautiful, open gallery houses a variety of handmade arts and crafts. The selection always changes, so return visits are a must.
