“was a huge fan of the original burgers at this establishment until the day i saw a cockroach crawl the wall near my table.”

Simple counter style burgers served on bread for $2.50...and they're worth at least triple that!
Not the best only better than fast food. This is not the best in Atlanta. The one thing that bothered me was that the burgers are all grey, there is no asking for a medium burger. They don't over cook it, because it is wet and gray. Not bad but not the best. Save that for Ann's or the Earl or even the Vortex.
Bad-Rude Service. My co-workers and I enjoyed Rhea's until we were finished with our meal. After eating, we were talking for a few moments, when the cook told us to leave stating that he needed the parking spaces. At the time, there wasn't a crowd, and no one waiting for tables. The place was half empty. We were not disturbing others, so what was the problem? This rudeness will prohibit from returning and recommending Rheas.
Perfect Hamburgers. Rheas is a throwback to the Golden Age of the burger joint. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a 1950s lunch counter. The service is friendly and the food is made to order. The burgers are big and juicy and have that unique local flavor that a big chain could never hope to replicate. There is no doubt in my mind that the best hamburger can be found at Rheas.
Rhea's should be ranked higher. i dont think enough people have been to rhea's. there are also 2 other locations, off of alpharetta highway and another off of crossville, by roswell high school. if you havent been to rhea's it is something that you need to experience. it is the best burger i have ever had. EVER.
Roswell institution woos customers with the suburbs' best homemade burger..
The Scene
Friendly banter from behind the counter keeps customers at the battered hamburger joint smiling. A row of stools hugs the small counter, while three picnic-style tables crowd the floor. Nothing's pretty here--not the salmon colored walls, the striped curtains or dark wood trelliswork--but Rhea's isn't about image. Like the sign says, "If you don't like my food, there's the door."
The Food
Biting into one of Rhea's special burgers invites memories of old-fashioned hamburger joints--real or imagined. The tasty ground beef patty gets a perfect complement with shredded lettuce and onion, mixed with mustard, ketchup and mayo and topped with tomato and cheese. Burgers come stuffed between buttered, lightly grilled white bread. Messy hot dogs can be topped with chili, slaw or cheese. A side of the hot, greasy, crispy crinkle cut fries completes the order. Breakfast also draws a crowd, with choices of sausage, bacon, egg or ham biscuits.
Rhea's. Mediocre at best! If this were the best burger served in town I would give up eating burgers. I don't know what all the hype is about unless people have just gotten so used to fast food that anything other than that is believed to be awesome. I was extremely disappointed and don't plan to waste my money there ever again!
.... I read the reviews and decided to try this place for breakfast. Ordinary, greasey and the orange juice tasted like Tang. The breakfast was served on a paper plate.
Great burger, great price should be #1. I use to sneak out of High School at lunch to get Jimmy's burgers (Rhea has been gone for 15 years). He makes the best burger around for change on the dollar. I've been going to this place for about 9 years and it still doesn't fail to please everytime.
Just Okay. Like the atmosphere for a quick hamburger. Several people recommended the spot and once we went and had the hamburger, we were not very impressed.
Our Family Favorite. You would never expect to find such a delicious burger in a hole in the wall location like the original location of Rhea's (there are 3 now). All of the locations have the same great tasting burgers, but a very different feel based on the location. I can't say I have ever tried anything else on the menu because the burgers are the reason we eat there. My wife and son enjoy Rhea's as much as I do. They even get mad when I stop in for lunch and don't bring them a burger home.
