“Fine food, slow service”

French food is increasingly hard to find, but this Roswell bistro has moved into larger digs to accommodate the crowds that keep coming back for more
Theft by employees!.
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CREDIT CARD SAFE! I left mine at the bar and it was stolen and used in the general area of this restaurant. Will be filing a police report.
If the employees can not be trusted then it does not matter how good the food is.
A Gem of A French Restaurant!. This was my first visit after nearly three years. If I was impressed then, I was simply delighted this time around. The charcuterie and calamari appetizers were outstanding. For entrees we had the Pork Loin & Risotto, the Duck Confit & gnocchi, and Lamb Shanks & Gratin; happily sharing these excellent and generously-portioned dishes amongst ourselves. Service was prompt and friendly, the wines well-selected and affordable. I love the warm and comfortable feel of Pastis. We came on a Sunday night and it was quiet; although I suspect the opposite on Saturdays. Pastis has made my list. I will certainly be back.
You never know what you will get!!. I live around the corner from Pasti's, I have eaten there atleast 10 times. I have had the most amazing meals and I have had some awful meals there. I have had the best and the worst service there. Needless to say I have a love/hate relationship with this resturant. Pasti's is very inconsistant, you should definitly try but you never know what you will get!!!
Delicious French food and friendly service. I have been going to Pastis for several years and have always highly enjoyed what I've ordered. Their brunch, lunch, and dinner options are all great, with a nice wine selection. The servers are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Request a table on the porch upstairs, if available, to enjoy the quaint view of historic Roswell.
User review by frankiewritefw. Not a good place to eat. When you want second rate eating at this place is great.
Yummy French Food!. Needed to locate a restaurant at the last minute that was open on Sundays. I got very lucky on picking this for our group of six. The restaurant & area had a lot of character (downtown Roswell location). The food & service were impeccable. Good selection on the menu and in addition a few specials to pick. Our group enjoyed the food & service so much that we made a second trip back a short time later.
Spacious French restaurant serves as a lively meeting spot in historic Roswell..
The Scene
Sitting snug between the art galleries and antiques shops of old Roswell, Pastis is a deceptively large space that's sophisticated and stately rather than Provencal cottage cute. Downstairs houses a full bar and piano. Upstairs, lofty ceilings and hardwood floors keep the noise level high. Popular with large chatty groups, families and middle-age singles, Pastis also occasionally plays host to French-class field trips.
The Food
Look for Middle Eastern and Asian touches in a dinner menu built around bistro classics like pommes frites and mushrooms in pastry. Tasty roasted duck rests rare on a bed of curried lentils surrounded by a spiced carrot confit. A pear tart topped with surprisingly sweet five-spice ice cream outshines a more traditional dessert of vanilla ice cream and bland chocolate sauce atop puff pastry. The restaurant's namesake liqueur--flavored with anise and tempered with just a bit of water--makes an excellent pre- or post-dinner drink.
Lovely romantic setting, ok food.
If you are used to Outback & Chili's, this place is heaven, but for those of us who have lived in France, they have not quite hit the mark.
I had an asiago cheese salad with a giant slab of cheese of over the salad that was a bit dried out, chewy and oily showing it had obviously been pre-made. Flavor was good, though, and the dressing was great. The mussels came in a creamy tomato sauce that reminded me of a spiced up Campbell's; I much prefer a lovely garlic parsley butter.
The best part of the meal were the rolls~wonderful, whole grain and white, crusty and warm.
Local Treasure.
Pastis is a great restaurant for people bored of chains.
Food consists of French and European staples that are consistant and well prepared. Daily specials are usually some of the best.
