Great Cajun/Creole-inspired menu items, but the REAL steal here are the $3.95 dozen oyster specials!
We have always had excellent service and food until last Sunday. The service was really terrible. Most of the time we could not locate our server, even when we first arrived. We could not get our drinks refilled, the food server brought incorrect vegetables from those ordered and by the time the food arrived, it was cold. I did report the server to the hostess.
Pappadeaux in Norcross, GA. Excellent in everything the food, the atmosphere, the service. The coconut shrimp were the best i've ever had; only the sauce was different, not the ususal coconut creame sausce i've become accustomed to. All in all it was a great experience; a lovely place to take out of town guest or for any other special occasion.
The Pappa is tha Spot. Great atmosphere, good food the big bay platter is perfect and you have to have a "Swamp Thing" is awesome!!!
Worth the wait. It was a busy Saturday dinner when my family and I arrived there. We were asked to wait for our turn. A few minutes after, we had our table and was provided with great service and good food. We love the craw fish bisque. The platter is really good for family dining.
Always a Favorite. One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Took a group of 10 there last Friday for a business lunch and although the restaurant was packed and people were waiting in line, we were seated relatively quickly. Everyone was very impressed with the menu selection and when our meal came, it was perfection. It was understandable that the service was a bit slower than normal, but it was a very busy day. We will be back!
VERY DISAPPOINTED!UGH. really a huge let down!my husband and i went tonight, people that work there were saggin their pants and aprons!the salad dressing tasted like water, the portion was not what i had in mind..i ordered the SEAFOOD PLATTER,i got...one tiny peice of fish,3tiny shrimp,1processed stuff crab, and potatoes that had huge lumps!the oyster was mere crumps.the noise level was at a 10...we paid our $60 plus bill and vowed to NEVER return.you would do better of at capatin d's,oh if yo do decide to try it yourself....bread and cole slaw ARE available upon REQUEST.
One of my favorite seafood restaraunts in the area. I love seafood, so when my fiance took me here to eat I was really excited to try their food. Each time I go I'm very pleased with their dishes. They have a wonderful variety to choose from, and it tastes delicious. They are a little pricey for out budget so it ends up being an occasional treat. However, if you take someone that doesn't necessarily like seafood it gets ridiculously expensive (they only sell expensive cuts of red meat). Nonetheless I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys seafood.
Awesome food!.
I love this restaurant. I've been to the other 2 pappadeaux restaurants and this is bar-none the best in atlanta. Order the crawfish trio, it's not on the menu, but it's great! Three different flavors of crawfish on one plate, what's not to love?
I get the grouper alexander and it never disappoints. When my friends and family ask where to go on my birthday, I always say pappadeaux! The service has always been spot on. While the prices are not cheap, it is very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you receive. Looking for great seafood with unique flavors? Pappadeaux is the answer!
Now I'm all hungry...
Great Portions, Good Food (although NOT the Boudin), HORRIBLE SERVICE. My sister and brother in law came to visit and since he is a Cajun, we decided to give Pappadeaux a try. When we arrived at 5:33 pm on Sunday 2/22/09 we were told a 30 to 40 min wait (as unless you have 6 or more in your party you can't make a reservation). This was not a big deal. So the Hostess was correct, at 6:03 pm we were seated. Now is where the problem began. Our service was horrible. The waitress came to the table about 5 min or so after were seated, we then ordered our drinks and waited another 5-7 min to get them. She then came to the table to take our order. I ordered the Crawfish Platter with a cup of Crawfish Bisque. My sister ordered Boudin and crab cakes. When the food arrived....1 HOUR AFTER we ordered, my Bisque was never delivered, the Boudin that my sister ordered left a nasty after taste and wasn't fully cooked. The waitress never came back to see if we were ok, or needed anything or to make sure our food was correct. As we sat there eating, we drank all of our beverages and had to stop a busboy (not sure if that is now the correct term) to see about getting refills. He refilled the sweet teas (I had unsweet) and then got called to other duties (which this wasn't his job so that was fine), however, our waitress took another 5 min or so to get there to see that I needed a refill. At this point she finally asked about the food, which we sent back the Boudin and got boxes for the rest. She came back to the table to declare that she had to wait for the Mgr to remove the Boudin from the check. She finally came back with the check and we paid and left. The food itself was fantastic (other than the Boudin). Total time for this meal (wait to be seated, wait for food, eating, wait for check) was over 2 hours. Do NOT go if you don't have time to burn.
