Best Pizza and Gyros. Love this place! Been going here for years! A community gem!~
Love the Anchovies. I love my made to order feta and anchovy Pizza. They make the best.
MY FAVORITE PIZZA IN ATLANTA.
It seems that some people might have hit or miss experiences at Christo's based on what they order...well if you get their pizza with the right toppings, then you will be treated to the best pizza in the city.
You must get their cheese pizza - any size - and add feta cheese and their ground hamburger. It's not typical hamburger, it's a home made recipe, and the combination of flavors just melts in your mouth for a flavor you just can't find anywhere else in this city.
I have been eating here for probably around 20 years now, and I guarantee you will enjoy this pizza. Feel free to respond to my review if you can and let me know how you liked it.
Top off your pizza with a piece of their baklavah. It's also a family recipe and you will love it.
Italian-Mediterranean joint pleases the East Cobb crowd..
In Short
Lodged in the corner of the Publix shopping center off Delk Road, Christos' is a hole in the wall that is one part Greek and one part Italian. The cantankerous, humorous Christo aggressively works the room, glad-handing his loyal Marietta fanbase and slinging heavy-and-hearty fare. Crispy-crusted pizza wears a Mediterranean influence with anchovies, ham, feta, onion, and garlic as toppings and sports deep dish in thickness. Order the pizzas in a personal-pan style to ensure the maximum amount of the crunchy, somewhat flaky crust to enjoy. Other Italian pleasures include deep-friend ravioli with herbed ricotta cheese accompanied by zesty, garlicy marinara while Greek salads and honey-slathered, nutty baklava represent on the Mediterranean side.
5 STARS?? WHY??. Ordered spanikopita, plate arrived with six pieces, only one with spinach, owner explained that the rest were another kind of Greek pastry. OK. Ordered lunch-sized pizza with Canadian bacon (which was fine, but very greasy), sun-dried tomatoes (with no flavor, how do you do that to a sun-dried tomato?) and spinach (which resembled the frozen chopped kind and bore no resemblance to fresh) and an almost non-existent and completely flavorless tomato sauce on an awful crust. Crust tasted like flour and water: this place has no understanding of what gluten and yeast and aging and rising do for the flavor of a pizza crust, like MM does. This is basic grub, nothing special at all. Diet Coke was delicious.
not being tech savvy it's taken me a while to learn to respond. we take customer comments very seriously, i apologize for your experience. my name is christos, my cell is 4049444677, business phone is 7709521965. please call ask for me, would like for you to try us again. thanks
Mambo Italiano!.
Christos makes the best calzones anywhere. The spaghetti, pizza, and salads are some of the most exceptional, and authentic Italian cuisine I have tasted EVER!
I only wish that the ambience were more upscale... dare I say- romantica! Although, there is nothing wrong with the current cafe' style setting, the food craves to be paired with a cigar and a good bottle of Cabernet. I'd love to see red table cloths on small tables, with those little red candles they used to have a Pizza Hut (when PH was actually a classy joint).
Anyway, my final assessment of the place: a total "Thumbs Up!" Eat Here!
Like Eating In Greece. Okay yes, Christo's is located in the corner of a stripmall, however the food is the BEST GREEK FOOD EVER! Very comfortable inside, the food is fresh, and, if Sandy is there running the place, VERY entertaining (don't have a thin skin). I eat in and take home to my wife . . . in Gwinnett. Well worth any drive!
Best Gyros EVER!. I've been meaning to write about this place for a long time. I first went to Chrosto's last summer, and I was overwhelmed by how good it was. And, while I could spend a lot of time writing about almost everything on the menu, I am singling out the gyros. Beyond good, beyond great, awesome!! Everything kicks butt there, however you'd need to go to Greece to get better gyros.
Great place for lunch. Who knew that pizza was a greek delicacy? Christo's is a little out of the way but definitely worth the drive. If you have not tried it before, give the Gyro Salad a shot. You will not be disappointed.
