Hickory House Cafe. 1410 Terrill Mill Road

Marietta, GA 30067

They are located at the corner of Powers Ferry and Terrell Mill Road. The french toast is something beyond good.

We went back for lunch a couple days later and they have a sandwich on their menu called the Plantation BBQ Sandwich - served on toasted garlic bread with a killer mustard sauce and then you can put cole slaw on top - I think I dies and went to heaven. They cut their own fries - fabulous. They are only open for breakfast and lunch - so hurry up - BUT, they serve breakfast till 2 on weekends.

Was pleasantly surprised!. We just moved to Marietta from Florida and have tried a couple of sushi places in the area but nothing stood out until we came to Great Wall. To be honest seeing the restaurant in a shopping strip mall, I was scared this was going to be low quality sushi and only came because my son wanted Chinese. I was pleasantly surprised walking in the first time by the beautiful modern Asian decor. The restaurant is very clean. Service was very friendly and in a timely manner. Their menu is quite large with a huge variety including Thai. My son is a really picky eater and they had no problem accommodating changes to his noodles that were delicious. I did not hesitate to order sushi. The sushi was fresh and I loved it! We had also ordered Edaname as an appetizer which were a healthy portion and I had also ordered a ginger salad for $3.95 and it was very large...ginger dressing was just right. I'm very happy that we came and that I found a great sushi place right down the street from me. We will definitely be back very soon!!

Not for people who like authentic asian food!!. I see the people who wrote these reviews don't know what amazing chinese food tastes like. The spring rolls were so bad i threw them out! The sushi was better then the chinese but none of it was worth the price. I'm kinda angry cause the reviews are the only reason I tried this place. Take it from an asian food fanatic, go to Sushi House in Alanta for great sushi, Tasty China off Franklen RD. for amazing chinese and avoid the rip off at Great Wall!!

One of the best sushi restaurants in the country and the best in the Atlanta area!. I'm a bit of a sushi fanatic and I work for a travel agency and have been all over the country. I make it a point to sample as many of the sushi restaraunts as I can wherever I am. And one of the absolute gems is Shiro / Great Wall.

I have to be honest when I heard they offered both Chinese and Japanese cuisine I was cautious at first. Possibly the only other time that has been done well in the Atlanta area was many years ago when the Golden Buddah on Roswell Rd. first opened and was under the original management. And under head sushi chef Sato. But that location has not been the same for many years now.

But despite my caution, I found Shiro / Great Wall to be a fantastic choice for both sushi, and Chinese cuisine.

The fish is always extremely fresh, the atmosphere is actually quite nice. The restaurant has very high ceilings and they have an interesting waterwall behind the sushi chefs. When you walk in its hard to believe this restaurant is hidden there in this strip mall.

The sushi is fantastic, the sushi chefs are impeccable particularly the gentleman with the pony tail. I genuinely wish I could remember his name. They have the most fantastic spicy tuna roll imaginable and while I loved the catapillar roll and red dragon roll, you really cannot go wrong with any of the rolls or nigiri in this wonderful restaurant.

Finally, while I am not a huge fan of Chinese food the General Tso's Chicken and the Orange Chicken here are first rate as are their egg rolls.

I know if you try Shiro / Great Wall you will become a fan too.

Great Tasting Asian Take-out. Quick, friendly, polite staff, downsized in a small strip mall, easy to find. Nice assortment of imported beers, especially Chinese with a calming Asian-inspired atmosphere. Your take out order is always prompt and correct (no need to double check the bag before you leave...yes, the extra ginger dressing you asked for is there). Wide array of dishes to choose from.

Excellent Sushi & Chinese Food. We loved it! We tried a sampler sushi & sashimi platter, incredibly priced, and comparable to the $90 we spent a few months ago at A Geisha House at the Atlantic Station! Nestled in a shopping center off Powers Ferry, this great little location is beautiful on the inside!

Atlanta's Hidden Gem. Great Wall is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta, if not my absolute favorite. The sushi is super fresh, the kind you would expect from a 4 star restaurant but at completely reasonable prices. Elsewhere you would pay the same for much less. Price range is $6.50 regular rolls and $9 to $10 specialty rolls of very good size. The non-sushi Asian dishes are also amazing. I often find myself craving the Firecracker Thai Chicken entree which is definitely one of the best meals I've ever had. I love spicy food and after eating it once I was ready to commit crimes for more trust me.

You won't see Great Wall listed with all of the trendy sushi bars of the city, which is disappointing because the food could easily beat out the most "stylish" spots simply by taste alone. While the outside is very plain, the inside is decorated nicely but not too overdone. Don't let the fact that the restaurant is located in a strip mall fool you. You aren't taking a gamble eating here. I drive out of my way many times a month just to enjoy some delicious Great Wall cuisine. Highly recommended.

Great Vibe and a Rarity in Atlanta, Ga. Great Wall of China Restaurant located near Micro center on Powers Ferry Rd is just Lovely.

As soon as you walk into the place, the vibe is super and its so nice to be cared about and taken care of by Genuine people, who strive to live up to excellence and great food.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Atlanta and it is ALWAYS a pleasure to visit. Actually, it is my Friends birthday today and I am going to take him after I write this to the Restaurant for some of the most authentic chinese food, and well qualified sushi.

Excellent for the buck hey and reasonable portions and peaceful setting that will amaze any new comer.

Total Rockers to the Chef and to Jack (one of the owners) for creation of such a Groove and Positive Vibe.

Cheers hey,

Mitchell Nicholas Gerber

Great Service, Great Food, Great Pricing. Staff is very nice and consistent. Jack usually works the front desk, he is a very nice fellow. The Sushi is great quality and you pay for the quality yet it's still less than some high end restaurants with the same grade sushi. The chinese food is super, tons of selection and prepared with perfect flavor and heat. I personally can't think of anything bad to say about this restaurant. We visit it at least a couple of times a month and believe me, that is a compliment.

GREAT Sushi and GREAT atmosphere!! What more could you ask for?!?!. I LOVE sushi and tend to eat it quite often. Also when I'm pregnant I always eat the cooked versions. Not as exciting, but very very good if it's eaten at Great Wall. The raw fish is best quality and the cooked fish is equal to that.

The staff is very nice and accommodating and the atmosphere is relaxing and posh at the same time. I am highly recommending Great Wall for your Sushi as well as Chinese dinners out. You will NOT be dissapointed. Oh, also....they deliver!!! (if you live in the area of course). We eat at Great Wall every weekend. It adds up in price, but you know what? It's so worth it!!! Enjoy!
