Marietta >Elon Salon
“Ray and his assistants have always been very fun and friendly.”
“I've had bad haircuts before but this tops the cake.”
“The service here is great and so are every stylist I have eve.”
“My stylist listened to every detail i asked for and really spent quality time to make sure i was satisfied, and on top of that the prices are reasonable and the products are amazing.”
I used to go to this salon back when I was in high school/middle of college. I started off seeing DeeDee(who is related to the owners, I believe she's the sister..or something), but DeeDee never actually did my hair she always had her apprentice, Nicole, do my hair. When Nicole was promoted to a stylist I eventually just switched and continued to see Nicole. After a while I felt like I was being over charged for mundane blonde highlights, and Nicole would never do exactly what I asked. That's my biggest pet peeve about hair stylists. I'M the customer, I'M paying you. You're not doing ME any favors by not giving ME exactly what I want. I can understand a few slight alterations here and there, but to give me something far from what I even asked? Unacceptable. I eventually stopped going here, they're way overpriced. The products named "Acacia" are for the granddaughter of the owner's, they're not even good products..and again terribly over-priced. I believe Acacia even works there, and she's extremely snotty. Many salons later I am happy to say I have found one that I trust and love. It's called Vivid Salon in the Virginia Highlands for anyone who is interested. Don't waste your time at Elon Salon!
TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! I went in for blonde highlights and the stylist, Cheryl, turned my hair red/orange and very brassy. It was horrible. She didn't leave color on my hair long enough for it to lift and didn't use a toner. She offered to redo it after I had already been there for two hours getting it foiled. I decided that I didn't want the double dose of chemicals on my hair and scalp and quite frankly, I didn't want her to touch my hair again. She also offered to mix up a purple shampoo for $16 for me to buy so that I could correct her mistake!!! TRUST ME DO NOT GO THERE unless you want your hair ruined!!!!
I live in Loganville but always drive out to Elon because it is worth it! I wouldn't trust anyone but them! I really appreciate talking over the plan before I get my service each time. They really take the time to understand what you want and how it can compliment who you are. Color me extremly pleased!
My hair was really messed up and they took me right in and fixed it. That's what I get for giving my friend (just out of beauty school) a try at coloring my hair. Thank you so much Lisa for fixing me!
I love Elon! It just depends on who your stylist is. My stylist is Natalia and she is great! She is really nice and young, so I can relate to her. I have the most thick hair in the world and she made it managable. I also think she did m highlights and it was amazing!
BEWARE!!!! Run !.
BEWARE!!! If I could rate this place with zero stars I would
They ruined my hair and burned my head!!!
Call me I have details that you would not believe. 404-775-9200
Do not ever go to Elon Salon in Marietta!!!.
I had the most terrible experience with the stylist and manager concerning my visit 4/9/12. The stylist, Acacia, was 30-45 minutes late and never apologized. I told her about how I wanted my hair cut which she totally ignored, the color and highlights are not acceptable. It looks like she took a bowl around part of the top of my hair - this will take months to grow out. I cannot see any highlights - what I see is orange. I told her to leave the towel on my head after washing it as I have a cold. She did UNTIL she decided to sweep the hair off the floor - wet head - at the doctor Tuesday for antibiotics. I had a coupon for most of the services, but still OWED almost $100 - a rip off!
When I talked to the manager he refused a refund - he would redo it - why would I want to?! Rude man who told me not to tell him how to run his business and he would not be threatened when I said I would have the charge on my credit card reversed, he said try -- I guess he has done this many times before. I said I would post to my friends. He said no one ever pays attention to that "s**t".
I am always happy with Elons. I have been going to Elons for many years, I love this salon, it may be the best I have ever been to, anywhere!! It is clean, beautifully appointed, efficiently managed, and always friendly. Lovely people every where! Try Nina, she is my stylist... Best of all the prices are fair and the results are outstanding. I often get compliment and eagerly recommend Elons and Nina to friends. Some people can never be pleased, from some of these reviews. I encourage you to give it a try for yourself!!
Bad!. I visited Elon after receiving one of the mailers for a "complimentary" cut and color. From, the start the stylist was unprofessional, uninterested and unfriendly. The impression I got was that there were a lot of resentful stylists upset about having to deal with customers with these mailers. After initially reviewing their website, I was excited about an interesting cut and color. Turns out, I walked out with a trim and some boring blond highlights. To top it off, it wasn't even all "complimentary". Clients beware!!
Only looking to rip you off!!!. Long story short, I made an appointment for color with a Master Colorist, Flonnie (also the owner) I didn't find out she was the owner until checking out at the register. I wanted the balayse technique for color I'd heard so much about. She insisted on doing foils. Then asked if I wanted a cut. I said "NO". she insisted on trimming a few pieces anyway which took her all of 20 seconds. She said they were uneven. Not too happy with my color but not complaining I went to the register to pay. There I got a shock as I was told my bill was over $200. I asked why, and was told 49.99 for a hair cut I never got, nor wanted. 30.00 for a protein conditioner they put on my head (they don't tell you its 30.00) and $99.00 for the foil technique I didn't want and another 30.00 for color gloss. When I asked for a manager Flonnie stepped up and said she was the manager/owner. I proceeded to tell her I wanted the haircut charge and conditioner charge removed from my bill as I never got a cut and wouldn't have had the conditioner had I known the price. She refused. Never have I dealt with such an unprofessional business woman. I was completely ripped off. I will never return to that salon. Beware, sneaky and unscrupulous owner and staff. Unbelievable.
