“what a fun place to spend a day, if you love comics, you will not be disapointed coming here for a couple of hours.”
“The only thing keeping this from being a 1star review is the fact that they're a good place to get hard-to-find items.”
“Without belaboring the point, Dr. No's has consistantly provided the worst customer-service I have ever seen in a comic shop.”
I came in earlier today with my daughter and needed help finding some decent games. The two ladies working both helped me. Julie (I think) gave me some Munchkin info and the other (cute, taller blonde) gave me tons of info and suggestions about other games as well. I just wanted to say thanks and that your staff does its job very well! My 6 yr old won 5 out of the 9 games of Family Fluxx we played since getting home and is now hooked on the game. =)
I have been a customer of Dr. No's since 1994. I can honestly say I've never been to a better comic store in Georgia or New York. your selection and staff are excellent! Thank you for almost 20 years of great comics experience.
My first time in the store was last Thursday and It was awesome. I love the store and everything about it.
Great store! I've been to dozens of comic shops in the South, and they have the biggest selection and the most knowledgable staff of any store I've ever been to. They have more graphic novels than I've ever SEEN in any one place, including rare stuff, out of print stuff, and hard to find stuff. YOu can't do better than this store!
Be prepared to spend a little time here....
I'm a comic dork, and I love this place!
Possibly the largest selection of new titles, graphic novels and art books in the entire Atlanta area.
Although a bit light on toys, they always have plenty of collectible statues and mini-busts for sale, and their items are rarely jacked up in price.
My only complaint is that the staff is not always enthusiastic - while I've never had a truly bad experience I have had more than enough lackluster ones. But I've always received an hoinest answer to my questions and been pointed in the right direction when necessary.
If you've got a little extra time to kill, it's worth the drive to spend a while browsing through the many many items available.
One of the classics. Like Oxford, one of the Atlanta comic fixtures. Not really close to me anymore, but worth a trip just to browse the graphic novel wall. I never fail to find something new just poking around. The only reason they don't get 4 stars is that the people who work there are inconsistent.. If you see Cliff, he's brilliant! Your odds are 60/40 otherwise - 60% good, 40% not so great. Gives the place character, but sometimes I just want to know when something is coming out.
Great selection of unfriendly employees. Without belaboring the point, Dr. No's has consistantly provided the worst customer-service I have ever seen in a comic shop. I'll drop by every couple of years to give them another chance, and each time they continue to disappoint. The only thing keeping this from being a 1star review is the fact that they're a good place to get hard-to-find items. Whether or not you're willing/able to pay for them is another matter.
