Not bad. Went on a Saturday night at around 7, and the restaurant was relatively empty. The food was fine--typical Mexican fare; the service was also fine. In fact, everything about the place was middle-of-the-road. If you're just looking to grab some inexpensive Mexican in the Marietta area, it will do, and you probably won't regret it in the morning.
Fajita Nachos...best ever. The best I've ever had. The steak is juicy, the chicken is great and the shrimp is bigger than a quarter. The amount of meat is more than enough. The look of the restaurant leaves alot to be desired but the food is so good, you won't have time to care.
Monster margaritas and Mexican specialties take this fun-loving chain beyond burritoville..
In Short
A handful of locations outside the perimeter adds south-of-the-border flavor to the 'burbs. Tijuana Joe's sizeable menu features more than just a taste of Mexico. You'll find the basics like nachos, quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas and burritos. But there's also more exotic specialties like stuffed chile poblanos and deep fried chimichangas. A large patio makes a nice backdrop for sipping margaritas, which come in a variety of sizes and flavors.
Waiter gave himself a 20 Dollar tip. The service was good, and trivia was fun, but our waiter added twelve dollars to our credit card for his tip. we are currently fighting this as it is wrong and threw my bank account ballance off. Check your statements to be sure they charged you the right amount. This happened to two people i was with also, he added 6 dollars to their Credit card.
Worth The Trip.
We came to Alpharetta from Detroit Michigan, where we have a wonderful Latino neighborhood with authentic mexican quisine. This is the first place that we found outside of that environment that completely represents what mexican food is all about.
The quisine is soul food for the Latino at heart.
