Horrible Service - Frankie's Italian Restaurant

I received the most atrocious service of my life yesterday at Frankie’s on Canton Road in Marietta. I live right down the street and we were going out to eat to celebrate a special occasion. When we walked in my father mentioned that he left his coupon on the table at home. For some reason this must have upset the hostess, who I later found out was the owner! She scowled at my father. Another customer heard my father and offered him a coupon that he had in the car. My father went out to retrieve the coupon. The owner frowned at us, but escorted us to a table. She proceeded to slam the menus onto the table, scowling at us the whole time. I stated to my nephew that we might need to go elsewhere due to the rude service. She offered me another scowl, ripped up the menus and swiftly walked away. When I caught up to her, I asked her name and was told, “You don’t need to know my name.” I then asked for the owner, she stated, “you don’t need to talk to the owner.” I turned and saw two waitresses standing to the side and asked them who the owner was and they pointed to the very woman who was being so rude. I then stated that there was nothing that could be done, but let her know that I would never eat there again. She stated, “good and if you don’t leave I will call the police.” Please bear in mind that I did nothing but try to eat at HER establishment. I was appalled, but promised one last thing that I would post this horrendous incident on the internet. No one should be subjected to such rudeness from the OWNER of an establishment meant to serve the public. I would recommend that NOONE eat at this establishment….you can be served better anywhere elsewhere! I can promise you, I will never go back.

Done with this place

We eat there regularly. But tonight is the last time! It's Valentine's Day and I have two small children so rather than drag them out to dinner, I decide to go pick up 2 pizzas. My wife says 'let's use Frankie's, since I have a coupon'. In the small print it says not valid on 'Holidays'. I'm not one to consider Valentine's Day a Holiday. If you have to work, it's not a Holiday. To give them the benefit of the doubt I called ahead for take-out and ask the hostess if coupons are acceptable on Valentines Day. She said 'Yes, as long as it's the buy 1 pizza get 1 Free coupon' and it would be ready in 15 minutes. So I take my 5 year old with me, drive 15 minutes one way, and after standing at the podium for 5 solid minutes with nobody in front of me and being looked over, even though I am 6'2", by everyone there as if I'm not even standing there, a lady finally speaks to me. What's your name?, she says. I told her I was there for 'take out' that I had called ahead. When I handed her my coupon she has a fit about it in front of other customers who had piled up behind me. We don't take these on Holidays, she says. I said, I called ahead and the gal said you do. 'No we don't take them, and there's a sign on the door!' - She said. I told her she needs to train her staff. And she rants about it a few more times out loud and yells at one of the waiters who tries to discuss it with her. My son is just looking at her like horns grew out of her head. I'm thinking she's crazy and the looks on the faces of the people behind me tells me they were thinking the same thing. A guy at the bar starts heckling her and saying 'Yeah it's one of the major Holidays Huh' another guy says to me, ' I guess if V Day is a Holiday we better starting looking into Canadian Holidays too if you're gonna eat here.' So we wait another 10 minutes and noone calls my name, I get impatient and ask the cook if my pizzas ready and tell him my name. He grabs boxes that are sitting on top of a warmer. They were there the whole time and they never bothered to give them to me!! By the time I get home the quality was poor! I would have never drove there if they didn't take the coupon because there's another place much closer that's much different, but I wanted a good deal. They can't take their bad service and bad attitude and keep it. There are plenty of other restaurants in Marietta. I really don't see the draw to that place anymore. This will catch up with them... So so Sad.

CHECK YOUR BILL CAREFULLY BEFORE HANDING OVER YOUR CARD

We went at dinnertime and ordered margaritas with our meal. The food prices were middle of the road for middle of the road food but the charge for the margaritas were definitely on the high end, then they charged an extra dollar for frozen-without mentioning the extra charge first, then another dollar for premium liquor which I never ordered which somehow took 15mins of waiting to remove and then caused a 24 hour hold on the entire bill amount on my debit card. When I called back to complain I was told that the machine just automatically charges for premium liquor and they didn't know why and this was the manager (in other words they automatically over charge and if you don't notice then oh well) The manager said she was sorry that removing the one dollar was all she could do for my trouble but I could talk to the owner when she came in-over the next couple of days she was never in! ULTIMATELY NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE, especially for food that could easily be duplicated in the frozen food section of wal mart.

Food was ok

We got our food about 30 minutes late, refills were not done unless we had to ask. For the price the food was good but I would rather pay more at another place to eat and get better service. Bathroom were caked with dirt and grime. I got reffered here by a friend but this place is a hole in the wall. Not coming back
