Twenty-four Years

Averill has taken care of three (30 dogs over this time period.

Dr. Nelson & the staff at averill's did a great job with our little Yorkie, Alley when she had pancreatitis about four years ago.

A nice recovery & the RD dog food they recommemnded has really done the trick. No additional attacks and for a dog we must feed out of our hand a dog food she actually likes.

A job well done!

Excellent Personal Care!

We've taken our Boxers to Averill and wouldn't go anywhere else. From quick "what's this?" questions to in-depth care to boarding, the staff at Averill are the best. They treat our animals how we want them to be treated - always explaining things, and asking what we'd prefer. Dr. Nelson is an amazing vet, and has treated both of our Boxers well (who both had/have very different health). We wouldn't take our animals anywhere else, and we completely trust them to board our dogs too. We love Averill!

None Better

I have had miniature schnauzers most of my life and have lived in multiple states. My exposure to vets and staff have generally been favorable. However, this vet clinic is truly awesome! The staff members from front desk to med techs to R&B handlers are friendly, knowledgeable, caring people who obviously love helping clients with their pets. The physicians (Dr. Averill and Dr. Nelson) really listen to your concerns. Their handling of my "dog children" is gentle and thorough. They explain options for treatment and potential testing so that a lay person understands what can be involved. They followup with you to make sure treatment is resolving medical issues. I have been a client for at least 10 years now. I have seen staff members finish degrees, marry and some have moved away. But the caring quality of new staff members has remained constant. I repeat... there is none better than this group!

Caring Staff

Not only are the Vets fantastic at Averill Animal Hospital, but the entire staff is very caring.

Friendly smiles greet you along with great attitudes.

Rescue animals are usually available for adoption, they meander around greeting you along with the staff!

Warm and caring vets

Knowledgeable, skillful and very caring. What more could a pet owner want ? Our dogs, and several dogs we have fostered, have all received wonderful care.

The office is so warm and welcoming. Rescued pets up for adoption make wonderful greeters. It's a peaceful, soothing place to take furbabies for care.
