Love it. I love this place. I've had the chicken and beef kabob. They are cooked to perfection every time. I CRAVE this food all the time because its so good. The ghormeh sabzi is excellent as well. I will definitely go back, again and again.

Falafel Cafe Falls Short. The Falafel Cafe was recommended by two other individuals. There were quite a number of people patronizing this place which generally is a good sign. The hummus was excellent having a "just made" taste. Spices and consistency were very good. The Falafel Platter was priced right. But, the falafels were very dry as if they were made hours earlier and had a feeling of being kept under a heating lamp. Apparently, no one bothered to tell the cooks to make something fresher. In fact, it's difficult to remember any falafels this dry found anywhere in any other restaurants ever visited. They were also out of some items by 8:30 p.m. which means everything is prepared fresh or they simply didn't prepare for the evening. Substitutions had to be made. Service was prompt but low on personality. The restaurant appeared to be a little on the dirty side. Food was scattered on the carpet indicating "young eaters." A Windex bottle and dirty rag remained on the table next to ours during dinner. Restroom was clean enough. If it weren't for the quality of the hummus this restaurant would be rated lower. It's doubtful that there will be a return visit.

Do not get fooled by reviews. I visited this restaurant just by reading the previous review and it was big misery day for me.

This is the example how you get fooled by the reviews.

I often visit Falafel house, Food is OK and service is not that bad. When i came across the above review i decided to visit the

place in mid-town and give a try.

BE aware, first of all it is not dining restaurant, just pick up joint for food, Food is not as good as falafel house.

Place was dirty and clumsy, It is only ok for Office people to pick up something there as fast food option.

If you are thinking of dining there, it is great great mistake.

WORTH THE WAIT. I took a groupf of10 my coworkers to this place and most had never had persian food before. we all loved the food, we had chicken kabob, lamb kabob and koobide kabob. the hummus is the best i've ever had. the wait was a little long but with a big group of people it's understandable.

i highly recomend this place.

Terrible service, poor food.. I went there with my lady and we ordered food to go: hummus, gyro wrap, and falafel wrap. For $17 we got to wait 30 mins for a to go order when the owner, cook and one server were weeded with 3 tables. When we got home our food was cold, slathered from top to bottom in their yogurt sauce (small amounts good, slathered bad). The falafel was literally inedible. Neither of us touched it. The hummus was bland...very bland. The only saving grace for this encounter was the mediocre gyro we were served. Overall, I'd say this place is just terrible. Save you cash and go south to Monroe Dr and eat at the Mediterranean grill. Falafel Cafe would compel me to drive 25 minutes into downtown their food is so bad...and the service was no great value add either.

Falafel without the flavor. Went here for lunch while in the area on business. The falafel had no flavor and was cold when freshly served. My lamb kabob wrap was swimming in sauce. the hummus had a texture which I've never experienced before. Since I have a few friends that are native to Mediterranean, and have had the pleasure of dining on their homemade feasts... this was far from what I know. I'd rather find a Falafel King back home!

Very good food, not to expensive. From the outside, this place looks a little odd (backside of a strip mall) but the food is very good....I HIGHLY recommend the gyro plate. This is definetly one of my favorites, and probably one of my proudest restaurant finds. Try it, you won't be disappointed!
