Brookside Kennel. Manager came off very rude and impatient and was not very helpful at all. Fortunately the kennel assistant showed me the kennel and was very friendly and professional. If not for the kennel assistant I would not have boarded my dogs there. Overall a really great place aside from what I've already detailed.

Great, Affordable, Friendly Place to Board Your Pets!. Having been very disappointed with our stay at Carrie's Canine Cuts (see my review of that one) in Buford, we decided to find another kennel closer to home. We had learned the hard way that one should tour the kennel before bringing one's pets there... so we did so. The place is a little tough to find and not the fanciest on the outside, but the staff is WONDERFUL, and the place is clean and well-run. We did get a tour, which was thorough.

We've been taking our "dog pack" there (started with two, ended up as four dogs) for the past year and a half, and we couldn't be happier. The owner and staff are fantastic, and our dogs are always returned clean and happy. One of our dogs is particularly energetic and difficult to control on a leash, and they work with her to help her leash skills and such.

I also have to say that once we went away on vacation and boarded our dogs there, planning to pick the dogs up Monday in the AM. We got home Sunday night and missed them so much that we wanted to pick them up that night. We called and left a message, then got a return phone call that we could do so at a certain time. Granted, this may not be standard protocol for them, but considering we are good customers, we were thrilled to be able to get our dogs a night earlier (and avoid coming into work late on Monday). Of course we made a point to be on time, but Renate was there on time as well!

At Brookside Kennels, they actually seem to care about your pets' well-being, and it shows. The owner lives in her home right next to the kennel, so she is always present. They will always have my business so long as I live in the area!
