An Atlanta original, gets everything right.

God I love Chick Fil A. Living downtown, there isn't one close to me like there was when I was growing up in the burbs. I grew up going to Chick Fil A's in food courts, and still, as a 30 year old, it's still that same treat it was when I was 5.

And it's the fact they get the simple things right that makes all the difference. The signature sandwich is nothing complicated, just a fried chicken filet served on a buttered bun with a pair of pickles. The waffle fries occasionally lack salt, but there are always quite a few in the pack left with potato skin intact, showing these aren't processed jobs. And the lemonade, oh the lemonade. It's sweet and tart at the same time, with pulp running through it.

Like everyone else, I crave Chick Fil A on Sundays... when they are closed... but kudos to Truett Cathy for sticking to what he believes in. There isn't enough of that these days, especially when it comes to making money.

Pros: They get simple right--sandwiches, fries, drinks.
Cons: Closed on Sundays...but have to respect that.

TRY THE ORIGINAL IN HAPEVILLE...

The entire Chick-Fil-A franchise is based on the Dwarf House in Hapeville. THE ORIGINAL.. Try it once and you will then have a basis for comparison. It is the BEST. The fresh vegetable soup, the hot brown, the midnight sandwich, the fresh ground hamburgers and the homemade ice box pies are EXCELLENT... The expanded menu makes all the difference in the world. The KING of course is the Chick-Fil-A sandwich! Try one ona "grilled bun" and you will see what they were supposed to be! I grew up on these and they are always theBEST... Truett Cathey knew what he was doing and going to Hapeville wil show everyone. The Franchises are really good but cannot touch the ORIGINAL DWARF HOUSE!
