They should have stayed closed!!!. Hodges USED to be one of the best barbeque joints around but since they've reopened.....I have had HORRIBLE food and TERRIBLE service.

We ate there last night......my chicken was dry like it was sitting there all day or from another day, the macaroni was salty as HELL and all I ate off my plate were my black-eyed peas.

The server was GHETTOOOOOOO as hell....constantly commenting about my hair and asking was it a weave or not and calling over another employee who was sitting down in the waiting area to look at my hair. While they were both TRYING to figure out if I had a weave or not, we were waiting to finish making our order as well as other patrons that were behind us!! It was embarassing on my end and TACKY and TASTELESS on theirs.

People from all walks of life USED to enjoy the food at Hodges as I was one of them. But my husband and I as well as our families will NEVER, EVER go there again and I will tell EVERYONE I come in contact with that may mention Hodge's to STAY FAR AWAY!!!!

But I guess what more can you expect from an establishment that was closed for MONTHS due to NON-PAYMENT of taxes!!!!!

Hodges. Hodges has some of the best down south soul food you can eat. It's a a small restaurant that makesyou feel right at home. The food is off the chain!!! If you want some real soul food like Momma used to make come to Hodges!!
