The WORST shopping experience.
I don't even want to give this place one star! I have never been so hounded by sales persons in my life. My sister and I are both pregnant and went to look at maternity wear and were so shocked at the way all three staff persons attacked us when we arrived PUSHING us to buy this and buy that. I stopped to say several times 'this is too expensive' only to receive another item equally as expensive and tales on how it was made in Europe, how EVERYONE wears it, etc etc. Each time I showed disinterest I received 'looks' from the salesperson(s). It was truly the most shocking, ridiculous shopping experience I have ever had. (Note this is the FIRST TIME I have ever taken the time to write a review on anything! That's how bad it was!) In the end I managed to get away purchasing one item only, but my sister felt so pressured she ended up purchasing five items, which cost her more than she could afford. I reassured her we could it return it to another location only to see later on the receipt that it says 'NO RETURNS!'. So THAT'S why they were so pushy. No doubt the salespersons work on commission and LOVE the fact that no one can return what they've purchased. In sum, I will never, ever return to Izzy at this location or any other for the above reasons, as well as for the fact that the quality of their clothes is cheap and miserable. Pregnant ladies: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Go to Destination Maternity where there are good sales, much better clothing options, and FRIENDLY, helpful staff. Plus if you're unsatisfied with your purchase, they allow returns!
Beware the return policy!!!.
When I was pregnant 4 years ago I shopped at Izzy's for myself and agree with other reviewers that the staff is very pushy and agressive. But I stuck with my guns and only bought what I liked and not what they wanted me to like. So, I went in a week ago to purchase something for my pregnant sister in law who lives in TN. I made a point to ask that if she did not like it, could I bring it back. I was told yes, as long as it was in original condition and within 10 days. She did not like it and when I returned to the store 1 today I was told that I would only get a store credit for the 1 item I bought which was $90. I asked where that was posted and she said it was on the bottom of my receipt. Yes, it was - so I guess they informed me AFTER I had already made the purchase - had I known, I would not have bought anything there.
I have filed a dispute with Amex and they will clear this up for me but I don't recommend buying anything there unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure you love it 'cause you're stuck with their inventory.
