Awful, awful food!. I'm from the west coast and KNOW what real Mexican food is. El Porton is not. Usually chips & salsa is a safe bet at any Mexican restaurant, but they were terrible! Thick, tasteless chips and tomato sauce for salsa-Yuck!! I made the mistake of eating here once. I will NEVER make that mistake again. I'll stick with La Parilla when I'm absolutely desperate for Mexican food and don't much care how authentic it is. I would discourage anyone from eating here if they want good Mexican food.
