Good place for Southern Home Cooking-Lacks Business Savy.
Their food is excellent, but lacking business savy. This restaurant is a local favorite. I can always go here and get home cooking just like my mom makes. Good place for turkey & dressing, meatloaf, or chicken fried steak with a side of greens, yummy mashed potatoes, or cream corn. The only negative is that they definitely function as a small business kind of place. If you go there at 11 AM they will not serve you anything unless breakfast is already served. For example, we went there at 11:15am this year for Father's day. We went before noon to beat the main crowd for Sunday lunch. They said they end serving breakfast at 11, but won't serve lunch until the last breakfast patron is served. With that said, they wouldn't be serving lunch until noon. SO DON'T ever go between 11 and 12. They won't serve you breakfast or lunch. This has happened to us twice and had to turn around and leave as we weren't going to wait an hour until they would take our order. This is a little business ignorant as there were many people coming in at the same time that turned around and went home. They miss a good hour of business. It really does not make any logical sense at all not from a customer's perspective at least!!
Other than that the food is good, just expect small town mentality.

Great food, great price.
Midway Meal house is a stable for my family. The food has always been great and the restaurant has a nice southern, home-y feel.
