Editorial Review for Hardee's – by Robyn Galbos
In Short
The first Hardee's opened as a walk-up burger restaurant in 1960 in Greenville, N.C. Today, the fast-food chain has locations across the United States and is spreading internationally. Big, beefy burgers--like the 1/3 pound Thickburger--are the stars, along with sides like fries, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Breakfast offerings range from Made From Scratch Biscuits to Big Country Platters: biscuit, pancake, eggs, hash rounds and choice of bacon, ham or sausage.

I cannot imagine that anyone who dines around Atlanta could vote this the best hamburger. Knocked the Vortex to number two? I don't think so. Hardee's is just Hardee's. Look at some of the other listings. Even the atmosphere is not very good. For Pete's sake! It is a fast food hamburger and it taste and looks like it,
Pros: Fast.
Cons: It is, in everyway, a fast food joint.

It's Hardees, man. If big equated to good when it comes to burgers, Hardees might be in the running. It's a chain and suffers badly from being so. The Big Twin, when available, is not bad. Bring back the Hardee Husky and you might be able to compete. Char-grilling to huge patties in mass quantities, though, does not a great burger make. 2 stars because I'm feeling charitable.
Pros: few redeeming qualities, although the Big Twin, when it's available, is not bad.
Cons: just your typical chain fare. nothing more, nothing less.
